chaichi, 05 Nov 2013many competing phones in this price range wont get kit kat, and kit kat has a feature where yo... moreThat feature (contacting your stolen phone via PC with Android Device Manager) already exists for several months now, BEFORE Kitkat. And of course there will be similar priced phones with Kitkat, they just don't out yet. Nexus 5 is very great though.
Nexus 5 affordable price set + the most power efficient inbuilt Chipset has many advantageous over their counterparts.
I have this phone for two days. Performance wise very satisfied. Although build quality is inferior compare with HTC one iPhone 5s or s4, but the price speaks for itself. Camera is not bad and quality is above average. Highly recommended as alternative if you cannot afford s4 or HTC one or Xperia high end series..
harry , 05 Nov 2013can any one tell me the price of the LG Nexus 5 without contractA bunch of contract deals are listed by official google or official android online

C Wong, 05 Nov 2013$460 for the 32gb including tax and s&h (Canada)Thank you !
Hi everybody! Can someone please answer my question. Will the Nexus 5 work in the Philippines if it's purchased in the US? I understand that if it's bought from Google Play, the phone is unlocked but I read in a few articles that unlocked phones may be used for calls and sending text message but they may not be used for surfing the net, emailing, downloading apps, etc. Can someone please enlighten me on this matter.
sammy, 05 Nov 2013Battery is very poor...
Gsmarena we need comprehensive review asap@sammy:
why do you say battery is very poor? the stated specs give more than 10 days of standby time and 17 hours of talk time... that seems to be anything but poor to me...
@chaichi: some competing devices WILL get kitkat (moto X for example)... but i'm curious about your comment regarding the 'find your phone' feature... this is baked into google play services already and works on all version of android from gingerbread (2.3) up...
am i missing something here?

chaichi, 05 Nov 2013many competing phones in this price range wont get kit kat, and kit kat has a feature where yo... moreYou need to get your facts straight. All androids can be tracked in case they get lost via the Android Device Manager (located in the google settings on phone)
and by going to google.com/android/devicemanager.
You can also lock your phone, or make it ring.
Falcon27, 05 Nov 2013I agree.. No app yet is more than 2GB. But when you record videos at 1080p, it gobbles up memo... moreBeen saying that for ages its true if I go to airshow or an event or with Christmas coming up you start taking 1080vids and photos you need lots of space,,if you have your apps on then music and videos and games and documents and emails/mms/sms 32gb looks pathetic also..You don't actually get these amounts anyway of 16gb or 32gb its always less.
chaichi, 05 Nov 2013many competing phones in this price range wont get kit kat, and kit kat has a feature where yo... moreThere are loads of phone tracking third party apps readily available, so that shouldn't be a deal breaker. Though what certainly is is the value for money, and even if it carries the price of the flagship phones in your country, it's still a premium phone with lots of clever tricks to enhance its user experience.
