Anonymous, 09 Oct 2013NEXUS 5 specs seem to be LESSER compared to samsung s4. camera nexus 5 is only 8megapixel comp... moreIt is important to keep in mind, the mega-pixel number is essentially irrelevant. I have a 6.1MP camera that takes better pictures than any 13 or 12 mega-pixel camera. I've seen pictures on the S4, and the iPhone 4S camera is still better even at 8MP. When it comes to the camera it is all about the hardware (the lens) and the ability for the device to take advantage of the specifics of that particular camera mechanism. Mexapixel count is almost pointless.
Most of you people are just pathetic. When companies like Apple sell iphone with far lesser specifications and for a hefty price(around $1000), people go head over heals and start worshiping the phone(even though it also has no SD card slot and you have to get a nano-sim). But when google and LG release a beast like this at just $300 with the original google android, people dismiss it as an unappealing and limited device. Wow people are so bloody stupid.
Furthermore, about it having "just" 8 MP. Whats wrong with that? I don't see the point of any device having more than 5MP camera. Most HD screens(TVs, laptops, monitors, etc.) can display only a maximum of 1920*1200(around 3.1MP). There are now 4k resolution TVs which can display 4096*2160 but they are highly expensive so I don't see the point.
NEXUS 5 specs seem to be LESSER compared to samsung s4. camera nexus 5 is only 8megapixel compared to s4- 13 megapix and battery on 16gb model smaller ..would be interesting to see battery endurance test score .. of projected price of nexus 5 is cheaper from GOOGLE ONLINE store sim free..world expects the SPACE AGE LATEST BEST from GOOGLE ..
there is a tip coming from some site..
saying there is a 16gb with 2300mah battry priced at $299,and a 32gb with 3000mah battery priced at $399.
droid life says this couldnt be bcause there is only one dimension listed on the fcc filling.they say if there are two models with diffrnt batt capacity thre should also be two diffrnt dimensions bcos if u increase the cpacity of the battery u should also increase the size of the phone..
the dimension listed on the fcc filling only indcated the height and width,it didnt mention the thickness so i guess i hav quite a reason to hope for this to be true
I suppose that in addition to new applications, contain the best glass which for the moment is CGG 3 and 3 GB of RAM memory !!!
And believe I would be luxuries to buy this phone ;)
AnonD-193100, 04 Oct 2013Is Nexus 4 Fine??? Should I Buy It Or Should I Look for any other???Yessss ... Nexus 4 is verrry gooood device ...
Mememo, 08 Oct 2013Same here i was going to by the LG L2 but i use my phone to listen to music and watch films so... moreYou can use PC or TV`s to watch movies, not the phone -_- . The phone is for calling, sms, recording, photos, browsing, gaming ... If u don`t buy NEXUS 5 OR LG G2 u will loose a lot of perfomance that this phones have.
I believe RAM is 2GB.
Video recording at 30fps is a bit disappointed.
Lower camera pixel count is reasonable.
AnonD-194247, 08 Oct 2013Nexus 5 is rumoured to have 2 GB RAM, not 3 GB.also in a gsmarena news it says microsim.here is written nanosim.
Frankly I'm glad it (probably) won't have a glass back. My Nexus 4 just slid off the table while I wasn't looking and now my soft menu keys no longer work in portrait.
The specs are quite good; I guess we could expect this to be a great droid for 2013/2014

ZANOS, 07 Oct 2013This no card slot is going to hurt their sales. After they will learn to provide an expansion ... moreThe only reason Google doesn't want you to have an expansion slot is because they want you to use the Cloud services that Google provides. For example, Google Drive. If not for that, They'd definitely consider SD-Slots.
Anonymous, 06 Oct 2013Understandably but unfortunately the Nexus line is a price point mobility device denying it a ... moreThe G2 is the better phone...no doubt about it. Nexus 5 is still a great phone but other than smaller bezel size...it is ugly compared to Nexus 4 and is NOT a flagship phone.
Kitkat is the only major upside and that will get leaked very soon anyway.
