Hey guys, just got my N5 yesterday n I'm having a serious issue with Google play store where in I'm not able to download any App. Its says downloading n nothing happens after that. I will be glad if someone helps me out on this one. Thanks.
AnonD-43136, 09 Jan 2015Lol@ james79
LOL is right. If you didn't laugh you'd cry! I can't believe that you can't even mute the phone with a shortcut, you have to hold the volume button down until it goes silent. And the dialer - It's pure white! If you go out in the sunlight you can't even see the keys.
And yet you get people begging for this mess.

It's called screen record. Perfect for my games. Now we don't need a pc or root whereas on kitkat you do.

It's your phone and you can do whatever you like with it; but if you screw it up don't come back here whining about it.
Can you explain why it is so important to have Lollipop on your phone? What apps do you have that wont run on KitKat? The answer of course is NONE. You are one of those users who think 'It's out there and I want it'.
I've got it on my N5 and I think it is the ugliest looking version so far. Not only that, it is also bug ridden (check around to read all the complaints people are experiencing).
The UI is so ugly I have had to install Exdialer and Chomp to make the phone look anything like presentable. If there was a way of going back to KitKat I would, but I hope you are successful in downloading this mess.

AnonD-260735, 08 Jan 2015can anyone do this and confirm this works?@ Srk1
I found this on Google's Facebook page:
Do not use the Google Framework Services “trick”. We repeat, do not use the Google Framework Services “trick” that other sites and other Nexus users will almost certainly recommend. It’s not a trick and it can harm your device. In fact, the problem’s gotten so bad that Google itself warns against using this method when trying to update.
(Solution is factory reset the device)
Google Services Framework (GSF) streamlines how Android apps work with data.
Since Google Services Framework deals in the authenticating, handling, and passing of app data, it’s possible that the clearing of this framework can negatively impact your experience. The following are a few examples:
Account authentication. You may receive Account action required notifications prompting you to re-enter your username and password multiple times.
Google Cloud Messaging (GCM) and apps. GCM is the infrastructure that powers notifications for Google apps and other third-party apps that have chosen to use Google’s infrastructure. If GSF data is deleted, messages for apps that use GCM may stop being delivered to your device.
Random misbehavior. Some Google apps and third-party apps could randomly misbehave.
If you cleared your Google Services Framework data and are concerned that this is affecting your Android device, you can reset your device to factory settings. Note that performing a factory reset permanently deletes all data on your phone or tablet.
To force Android 5.0 OTA update follow below steps on Nexus devices
How to force Lollipop Update on your Nexus Device:
1. Go to Settings > Apps > All > Google play services > manage space > clear data.
2. Go to Google Services framework > clear data > force stop.
3. Go to Settings > About phone > system updates (it should say last checked in 1969 or 1970 :D)
4. Click on 'Check Now' & waight for refresh...
5. Reboot phone
6. after rebooting immediately Go to Settings > About phone > system updates Click on 'Check Now'
