Great phone until it went into bootloop
(i think all opinions of this phone start like this...)
Mine is under warranty and is being looked throu right now. its a shame tho. The worst part is, i work at a phone shop and our technician even said, nope. just send it to warranty or throw it out the window. So if i might get it back i'm gonna sell it as fast as possible
or trade it for a ps4
Great phone until it died 16 months after I bought it. Out of warranty and LG refused to repair it. Apparently this is a very common fault due to poor design. Very disappointed in Google and LG. Never again

Had nexus 5x ,first display went off replaced it under warranty,then came the dooms day after the update boot loop,warranty lapsed on july , lg not bothered to repair the mobile. guess i just paid a hefty sum of money to a valuable paper weight. now again google has teamed up with lg for pixel 2 xl ... may god be with the pixel 2 xl customers.

To replace the phone. My wife's 5x had the same fate and resolution. Well my replacement just died of the same symptoms except this time there is NO resolution. With a success rate of one for four I have to give this a piece of trash rating. So dissapointing

My LG nexus 5x start rebooting n gone completely blank when contacted customer care they diverted to LG people who never bothered to understand thing. I wasted money buying such n expensive mobile which didnt last even 2 years n now having motherboard issue. LG people getting away saying its out of warranty. So what do i put money to ise any mobile till warranty only. I am not complaining for free of cost replacement of any broken part which cud b my fault but motherboard????? Lost trust LG and Nexus too thank god it happened at right time n i didn't purchased Pixel.
Awesome phone...until it stops working! Got mine from ProjectFi, after 11 months gyro went bad. ProjectFi "fixed it" by sending me a refurbished unit. Which stopped working 6 months later (bootloop). Since it's out of warranty, I sent him to LG for repair (along with proof of purchase, warranty receipt etc)....they want $385 to fix it! Unbelievable
I think Google should make a 2018 edition Nexus 5X, because, to me, the design of the phone looks amazing and I think they could make a lot of money from it if they make it good quality with high-ish end specs and a cheap price. I love the 5X and if I could I would buy one right now in 2017.
I was very happy to use a powered machine like this, but then one fine day recently after purchase and usage of almost an year, it stopped working....unhappy ending :-)
after going through various reviews and common problems, it dawned upon me that most of the users met the same fate of machine stopped working all of a sudden, never to be alive again.
thank you google....keep working on the version updates and never ask your vendors to back u :-)
It was a great phone until it unpredictably stopped working. No clue, no drops, no getting it wet -- just stopped working. I think the bootloop problem happened to it. It is disappointing since I only used it for about nine-months. I hope in the future the manufacturer test their products more. I'm now out $306 on a phone that was supposed to last me longer.
Like many, my Nexus 5x recently went into a bootload loop. It then just died and won't reboot at all. I resigned myself to waiting for the new Pixel phone to be released and try again but did contact Google (I bought it directly from them) on the half chance that it could be saved. After troubleshooting for about 5 minutes, the representative told me that they would send me a new one. I just need to send back the dead one so I don't get charged for the new one.
I had this almost two years so it wasn't under any warranty. Nice job Google!
This is a good phone, untill the bootloop......, atfer 1 year, well played lg for taking peoples money and not reparing the problem.....
Worst phone ever,,although it worked smoothly but just after 1.5 years, it started "Bootloop" problem, when i went service center they asked to replace entire motherboard costing around 13000 , so no mean to get it repaired now, bye ...bye nexus
