I'm in the UK and think I'm pretty much set on this phone now. My only issue is the uptake of NFC and mobile wallets in the UK. If it that technology does take off and there's a boom in services, innovation and games using NFC, the handset will be left behind. I'm aware of how great the handset is and my NFC concerns shouldn't be a deciding factor, but I'm just wondering what you all think about the lack of NFC here?
Hi all, I happen to own one since last Saturday's launch. I'll say an overall 'Fast' is the word to describe. I'm currently downloading apps directly into phone and see if it'll slow. None so far. I havent owned another smartphone before, except trying out X10 occasionally. Its alot of difference.
I love my optimus 2x alot! The internet browsing experience and lg UI is very pleasing. Adobe flash 10.2 on web pages plays smoothly thanks to the dual core processor in the phone and 512 ram. Overall this is a reasonably priced dual core smart phone. Get one for yourself should you follow a budget...there are similar phones by other companies on its way to the market too. ps. I live in Singapore and hdmi cable is provided in the phone sales package. The specs shown on gsmarena are accurate. The phone runs on android 2.2.2 and 2.3 will come soon to the phone too.
Anonymous, 23 Mar 2011did anyone check the new samsung galaxy s2!?!?!?!compared to the samsung phone, the optimus 2x ... moreyes I think we all checked s2. a dual core and nvidia tegra 2 outdated? samsung s2 will be way expensive and performance similar or below (benchmarks already on internet) and btw galaxy is so cheap plastic ....
After owning a acer liquid for less than 6 months, I just know I have to give it up soon. But I waited thinking a htc would be my next phone, hmm... Too bad LG get ahead & launch a dual-core android phone and my mobile-telco launch it first in Singapore. It just came at the time where I am ready to get a new phone. I am not someone who change number and telco company just to get the phone I wanted. Since everything aligned for me and it is FREE with a contract.
- Lag is history, my BIGGEST complain with my acer liquid.
- I can't say it has the best screen or not, but it has WOW me and my friends.
- The 4" screen, definitely make it easier to quickly type a message with less mistakes.
- The stock applications provided are not overwhelming or slow down the phone or clutter all the 7 home screens, like HTC sense and moto-blur.
- Strange the 1500MA battery actually don't drain so fast, I need to use it longer to confirm.
For me is a huge step forward from acer liquid, I think it is going to serve me well for sometimes.
does this phone have multi touch and tv output. wat will be the price of this phone in india. does hdmi cable come along with box. wat will be the problems occur if there is no java.
