i personaly didnt think they would make a v10g i thought the next would be 4.1 or 4.2 but aperently i was worong hehe.
i dont think you need the update if you have v10f on your phone already.
im also not sure if its for every region.
maby its for the regions that have not gotten v10F yet only time will tell.

europe needs one that actualy communicates and i want to see what they work on behind the sealed airtight doors.

4x, 27 Nov 2012Don't expect updates from lg at least not android upgrades just look at their reputation than ... morestop lying to people.
the phone was released with V10a since then we had v10b v10c v10d v10e v10f and v10g is now in beta stage.
they are rolling out updates constantly so stop crying about updates they are coming.
infact they are coming faster then they are for the one x or S3.
as these are mainly doing big updates LH also fixes smaller issues regularly.
be patient or sell your phone ansd stop complaining.
your phone isnt gonna work any better with 4.1

the phone gets hot as the cores get hot from activity.
if your phone gets hot while not doing something cpu intensive your likely having badd apps installed on your device :)
some apps just keep using 100% cpu which drains the battery and heats the cpu.
this is the reason why people complain.
they install random apps and these cause problems.
this is the fault of the app writer not the phone maker.
and maby a bit googles fault for not building proper core management.
but the phone is just working as its supposed to :)

many still unaware that Optimus 4X HD is the best LG smartphone available currently.
Optimus G too is lacking behind it mainly in lower quality hardware and high price.

Now they've been labelled "never see updates" they don't even give you their word. I know updates isn't everything but Lg should know very well that 4.0ics has some issues(moving apps to sd, cores management etc) which necessitate upgrading to 4.2. Look at Samsung, even the age old s2 has receivd jb...and yes they sell in millions.
I wish Lg could pay
some heed to their customers complaints becaus LG is gettin no where in this business as i've seen. Look at the amazing optimus lineup yet no one is buying them.
Sometimes i get extremely irritated with their selfish monopolised strategy. But i still find things i like about them.

as far as im aware they havent released any update info for the amerikas europe and afrika.

yes but there might not be a newer OTA update for your region but you can always look on the google site and download the firmware to manualy flash.
howto's can be found on XDA forums.

Anonymous, 25 Nov 2012i read that the battery performance became beter after the software update (v10F), so i want t... morethe autofocus was supposed to be fixed in v10c but for some people the OTA update didnt fix it and i believe a manual full firmware flash was needed.
as for better battery i believe thisis more in the minutes then in hours.
so no big joy for you there :)
its all tiny tweaks after all.
all you can do is hope lg surprised you can delivered android 4.2 instead of 4.1 haha.
