yes they could ahve updates the 2x speed faster but they didnt and they never promised you a update so why expect it.
you forget that nokia still refuses to make proper smartphones you forget that windows phones have there flaws also and you also forget that samsung before they became a hype made not 1 bad phone but a whole series and never even considered talking to the costumers about it and just fully ignored the fact thay sols tens of millions of really bad phones thy advertised as smartphone but wherent.
and HTC has made quite a few really bad phones also so stop whining and realize that the 2x speed with 2.3.3 is a great phone and works perfectly even tho it doesnt have the latest android version.
and yes apple made some shitty phones also and then blamed the used on holding the phone wrong.... like there is a standard to hold a phone...
really stop crying and enjoy your phone it does everything a smartphone is supposed to do.

power amp user, 30 Oct 2012what about power amp it will also make phone speaker defective... please help me I'm using it ... moreeverything that forces more sound output then the speaker is designed for might kill the speaker or damage it permanently.
nowe i dont know IF the speaker cant r cannot deal with extra sound output but id prefer not to try my luck on it.
if you want to be absolutely safe contact LG and ask themthe spe3civics and ask them if the speaker can handle the extra sound output.

I own an LGO2X and believe me I'm never buying any LG crap again.

and for the people using 3rd party sound apps do keep in mind that uppingthe volume to much might kill your speaker and give you a permanent cracking sound which doesnt fall under warranty as you killed it.

ts one of the fastest pones in the market its the phone with the most free memory in the market (untill the G comes out).
and what made you think root increases preformance anyway?
rooting just means ulocking it it doesnt change anything unless you use root to modify the phone.

I followed the instructions to root, flash firmware (10f) and so on. Now I have application that boots me into recovery mode (CWM) and I can install anything suitable.
As to DSP, I expected to see more in it, something like Voodoo Sound on Galaxy S with Wolfson audiochip: it was really a "sexy" tool with a lot of settings and it was like an add-on to music players, for instance, it was loading when I was loading Poweramp.
Instead, in DSP i see mainly an equalizer, not something really useful. And in Poweramp I also have an equalizer. It's confusing! DSP does not function as an add-on to existing players and I really don't have idea if it makes sense to use DSP's equalizer, because Poweramp's equalizer does it job very fine.
So, now I just left DSP alone and use preamp+equalizer in Poweramp.

Hello LG 4X HD's users, Has anyone rooted this phone?Can you guys tell me about performance after you rooted? For example, sound quality, battery,....and so on. If rooting can help boost performance I'll buy it. I don't care about voiding warranty.

I can be compared with the Note II , maybe somehow losing the comparison with the Note II, but it can stand there. But ofcourse it's better than the Note I, at least from my own view :) I like it !

Lol, no it's not made of Uranium.
Basically, I turn off everything until when needed. Also, I set the brightness to near lowest.
So yeah I'm using it as a phone. As for my entertainment needs, I use my tablet (bigger screen, bigger battery, and better for gaming, browsing and sketching too) . :)

And do you mean you just changed Equalizer settings there?
I am asking, because that is what I have done and it for sure did improve the sound, but I cannot tell it's 'on par' with sound in Galaxy Note or iPhone5 :)

this phone has a better screen, than Galaxy Note and even than Galaxy Note II.
That was the main reason I bought this phone, not Galaxy Note II.

Had it for 2 weeks, superb phone, used it for 4 days with minimal browsing, gaming and music, and still have 20% of juice left. As for sound quality, the stock player is not my cup of tea unless if I activate the dolby. So, I downloaded poweramp app, paired my headphone, and wow! amazing sound with alot of bass.
I didn't regret my purchase at all. :)

I decide to buy LG phone but what ... morethe optimus g is a newer phone but not out yet.
its has LTE support and a new quad core cpu.
so not tergra 3 but a quad core snapdragon.
