if you still have the box please check the back of the box theres 2 bar codes under the barcode there is a 3 letter code in capital letters.
that is the region code of the phone so you need that to look for the correct roms for your phone and to find out where its from origionaly.

i cant offer support with this as its not something i have done nore something i will do as i smartly refuse to install 4.1.2 to begin with :)
and no not all roms are the same but the differences are small.
do use a rom from your region or better country tho as things like gps might not work optimally if you use a different from ment for the other side of the world.
also try to get v10h or if you cant v10f.

AnonD-25445, 16 Aug 2013i upgraded my O4X it looks better and work fine,but the problem it is too late to get a 4.1 up... morewhy do you need 4.1 4.2 or 4.3 anyway what do they offer extra other then massive memory drains and useless features like multiple users?
name me something that makes it worth upgrading from a verry fast and stable 4.03 v10h to anything higher.
i have my phone on 2 cores disabled and the remaining 2 cores on 66% power (1000 mhz max)and the phone is smooth and is feeling just as fast.
and i have 550 mb ram free 4.1 , 4.2 , 4.3 arent making my phone better they only make it worse.
dont be update obsessed they offer nothing anyway.
and noone knows if lg will release aother update and noone knows why they should.

i upgraded my O4X it looks better and work fine,but the problem it is too late to get a 4.1 update most of the flagship mobiles are getting the 4.3 now,LG software team have to more cautious about their satisfied customers. CynogenMod releases the 4.3 for O4X i'm planning to flash my mobile to do it but when i consider about my guaranty. i fallback from my decision,i have a question please any that is there any notification about a 4.2 or 4.3 update for O4X??, i love my Phone.

i compared this with my friends S4 and Samsung mega, and seriously 4X is pretty good and better.

because they get thinner and thinner its impossible to add a proper speaker...
but let the guy b hes gonna be just as disapointed on his next phone as he simplt seems to expect the impossible.
there is nothing wrong with the phone if he has issues he has a broken device or he killed the software settings.

Ok thanx for your coments but i think it is good to compare sets placing them on a table at same time and to try them , My critics are not imaginary based. About camera i would like to tell u am an initial user of canon AE 1. All with manual settings. I have tried every thing to have atleast acceptable results but all in vain.
Display i always prefer to mat. Disp. in Pc. I compared three sets to know the difference , Sony xperia Arc S, Alcatel ot idol 6030D & this 4x hd and compared only Displays , Ram, Cameras and battery consumption than i make an opinion.
I still say if you have possibility to hands on experience , use it than make an opinion. Thanx again today i am like many other people making an ad. to sell it ( 4x hd ) for 230 euros.

I think you must try S3 or One X before this then only will get to know the performance this phone.
i am using from last October, not a single problem till date.
The only prob i saw is sound, but it exists in almost all the smartphone.
And when you come to price range then no one can beat this LG.

[deleted post]all i can say is your doing something wrong as the camera is fine for me and in my opinion its configured better then the htc one x and i own a DSLR so i know quality when i see it.
if there is something wrong with your camera your either doing something its not desighned for or you messed up the settings.
and if you dont find any feature to make this phone better then its competittion you just didnt bother looking.
the battery is better then its direct competion, quickmemo is even better then the galaxy notes software, the screen is simply superb and preformance is higher then the HTC one x on 4.03 and the rom is lighter with less crap in it.
i hereby declare you troll of the week.
i have this phone for over half a year now and till today there is no phone that is better specialy when it comes to price/preformance rario.
the problem with a loth of people is blindly buying something and not wanting to make a manage a phone.
wel i got news if you dont want to manage your phone buy a apple phone they are limited and safe and you dont have to manage them. but dont think they dont have any flaws.
the fact i dont have any issues and manage my phone correctly and some other people have iassues to me meens they have either a broken sample or they are doing it wrong and the latter is themost common issue.

Oh my God! I have spoil my 270 euro. Very low quality camera white balance is poor not only poor but extremely poor . Screen is yellowish dim low quality . Ram is always on 730-780 consuming battery within few hours even if not in use. I did not find any feature to admire any thing to say something in favour of this set.
I am a sincere person and advice you if want a quality handset look some batter maker for your satisfaction.
Now i understand why many people want to sale their lg 4x hd soon after they purchase.
