the tegra 3 is this fast and wont get any faster period.
and last time i checked that was slower then the 4x hd.

this phone is a nice phone bud lg is holding back on performence , the software sucks bigtime. jellybean is no improvement over ics . when the htc one x got jelly bean witch has the same tegra 3 cpu it got a 30 a 40% increase on performence how is that possible?

Wait for the firmware update b... moreyeah really true! last time i sent my phone to the service center for downgrade but they cant..if you are a gamer dont update to jelly bean!..but if ure not then jb version has new interesting features..smile shutter pop up message, and etc... :D

Better not upgrade to JB, free RAM will be lesser by 150-250MB. Wait for the firmware update before updating to JB. IMHO

plus its a amoled which simply isht true HD die to the lack of sub pixels.
so spec wise its still a worse phone and here its only 10 euro cheaer then the 4x hd.
and yeah windows 8 just aint cutting it for now the store needs a massive boost in usefull aps.

[deleted post]I am glad you mentioned Ativ S. For about a week now, I am thinking of change my 4x for Ativ. Just out of couriosity because I never used a WP. My affraid is not lack of apps because I guess it has all that metters and I am not a big game fan. I am affraid that WP will become borring to me in a week because of lack of personalisation options... What do you think guys? Did someone escaped from WP to Android? Or Android to WP? Again, I love my 4x, I am just courious... :)

to upgrade to JB you need to attatch it to the pc so as long as you update OTA (over wifi) you will only get to the latest version of ICS.

skyp, 01 Jun 2013this phone is just toomuch is just that people do not like lg but for me lg is far better than... moreyep sadly people are brand obsessed.
i personaly think that LG is the only remaining company that understands display quality.
Samsung, sony, toshiba, philips, HTC all dont seem to understand realism but prefer oversaturation and to high a contrast which to a perfectionist is just ugly.
on top of that this phone is just dirt cheap.
its 284 euro here where the one x 32 gb is over 120 euro more! and the S3 is 102 euro more and there is nothing they can do that the LG cant do.

AnonD-150566, 30 May 2013Hi All after the Jelly Bean update my phone seems to lose battery overnight on standby mode. A... moredisable maps, google+ ,streetview, sync and so on.
everything you dont need directly or the phone does not need to function should be disabled.
if you use maps to drive sometimes enable it when you need it and disable it after as its a battery drain.

i dont use JB and prolly wont so cant really help you with JB specifics.
i refuse to promote JB untill someone donates me a phone so i can see its better or worse untill then 4.03 ftw.

try that app if your not already.
it disables 2 cores giving you up to 1 hour an 15 minutes extra battery time and the phone remains smooth as it doesnt touch the gpu cores only cpu cores.

NO can you find a etter phone specwise for more sure you can the optimus g, optimus g pro, the nexus4, xperia z, htc one are all better in some ways and worse in others but they have a while different budged :)
as russel said check your demands see which phones fit that demand then check the price and the flaws they have.
im sure any phone will siffice once you get the hang of it.
im verry happy with my 4x HD and theres only 2 things i would change.
1. make SD card work for apps (this workd on no other phone past android 4.01 so this one isnt an exception).
2. produce the tegra 3 on 28nm rather then 40 soits more efficient and the people whiting that it gets hot will stop as there would be less heating.
sadly this is nvidias fault not lg's.
other then that its a pretty flawless phone and id take it anyday.
