whatthefuk, 16 Feb 2013How did you manage to break the Corning Gorilla Glass by just having it in your pocket ? Like,... morelast week i put a rose in my pocket and my lg killed the rose it was completely crushed.

just joking hehe i have no clue why people are so careless with there products clearly parents dont teach the value of money anymore.
a phone is a verry delicate device and needs to be treated with care.
if people dont do not come crying here that lg broke your phone because you managed to break gorilla glass in your pants.
its there own fault after all.

Anonymous, 16 Feb 2013Please help me choose between LG Optimus 4X and Sony Xperia TX. What I'm looking for in the... moreyour simply expecting the impossible.
and yes the razr maxx is the ONLY thone on the market that can do that at this point without using a 3rd party battery and making your phone fat and incompattible with all covers.

you really expect 3 hours of video 2 hours of browsing 30 min watching text documents 30 minutes callling and if that 6 hours isnt already silly you want to play games ad listen to music on top of that ?

that simply is NOT an option.
you should consider 4 hours without gaming or wrongly coded apps all the use time you get and thats with the screen on less then 40% brightness

and you want no lag but it doesntmater how much lag there is?
these 2 things are married together.
if you have lag your phone will be smooth.
if your phone is smooth that meens there is no lag.

and this phone mits used correctly us as smooth as it gets.

Please help me choose between LG Optimus 4X and Sony Xperia TX.

What I'm looking for in these phones are:
                1. longer battery life for average usage. This is how i use my phone per day
                - moderate call & text
                - for watching at least 1 to 2 movies a day
                - about 1 to 2 hours of internet on wifi
                - viewing/reading a lot of pdf or j.peg files
                - if i have time maybe play little games or play music

                2. it doesn't matter how smooth the phone is but at least there should be no/less lag.

                Thanks.

it also seems that XDA is having some serious issues some of the pages cannot be loaded at all.

anyway heres the direct link to the hacker that lets you install though LG software (easy solution).

sadly you need to find your won source for the rom files as its removed from the site. but theres some sites on google that should be easy to find.

other then thats theres no much i can helpp you with as ive not had the need to do this myself :)

then scroll to the one with the settings icon and is named settings.
then drag it to the homescreen where it opens a list select battery there.

this gives you a shortcut to the battery menu plus 1 crucial extra feature.
now open the widged and you will see what you normaly see but the graphic is on top instead of at the bottum.
on top of that the graphic can be clicked so click it.
you now get a new page.

on top you see the tabel you can ignore this this isnt the importaly feature here.

on the bottum you see the lines here you can see where the phone is on the screen is on and so on.
phone on and screen on are the 2 that matter here possibly in combination with 3g.

if you see a stripe or bar where the phone is on but the screen is off it meens you most likely have a app draining your battery.
if not something else is the case here.

if you would be so friendly to after a night make a screenshot of this (you can do this trough quickmemo) and post it on the web somewhere we could help you see if theres something wrong or that it looks right.

jmd, 15 Feb 2013Using the phone for past 15 Days.. Here the opinion! Mostly based on my personal preferences ... moreyour bad point 1 and 2 are normal and is like this on EVERY smartphone outthere with this much power.

point 3 just is not true the vollume and ringtone sound is just great i have it on half power as its so freaking loud.

and for point 4 did you even update the phone to v10h?
my camera is as fast as a phone gets (its contrast based AF after all this is and always will e shite)
and ive never seen a missed focus shot so far so not sure what your doing but its not the phones fault.

Using the phone for past 15 Days.. Here the opinion! Mostly based on my personal preferences

                                    The Good:
                                    ----------
                                    1. Excellent Display. (Natural colors which is of my taste actually)
                                    2. Smooth, Clean UI (No bloatwares/or s/w Overkill. Pre-installed apps can be disabled. Will not be good for some people who prefer glamorous UIs)
                                    3. Signal reception and Call Audio quality is excellent.
                                    4. Excellent 2G/3G Talk time.
                                    5. Good battery backup for day-to-day use.(Can take you 2 days with normal/moderate use)
                                    6. Fantastic browsing speed
                                    7. Excellent Pre-installed Organizer package (Polaris Office, Quick Memo, Timer, World Clock and Stopwatch)
                                    8. Dolby mobile over headphone is good.
                                    9. Programmable NFC tags included in the package.
                                    10. Excellent Camera for people who know how to make good out of it!!!

                                    The Bad:
                                    --------
                                    1. Bad battery backup for heavy users (Gaming,Video playing)
                                    2. Over heating issue with Gaming
                                    3. Poor speaker quality for a Premium Range phone.
                                    4. Bad automatic camera performance and slow operation. (You need to tune and focus carefully to get the right picture)
