hunter, 30 Jan 2013thanx bro for ur time.,but can u tell me is there any app that actuly held me to improve bettr... moreI would do as pino said. Check out which app is preventing the phone from going into deep sleep and causes too many wakeup calls (eg. Google Maps, some ad supported games) by using something like watchdog. Remove or freeze such apps with system app remover or Titanium backup Pro. If you want to debloat, check out the list of apks which can be safely removed on xda forums.
You are right about that one. The main reason for the battery life I'm getting is because I've heavily debloated the stock rom. I removed almost all LG software (except Quick Memo & LG Tag+) and any others I didn't want. I even removed Google Maps (it's reported to be another battery hog) as I don't use it.
There's a list of apps that can be safely removed at xda and those eager to debloat can check that out. For removing stock apps, you should be rooted and have system app remover installed.
hunter, 30 Jan 2013thanx bro for ur time.,but can u tell me is there any app that actuly held me to improve bettr... moreinstall watchdog for a day and see what it sucking up all the power.
if theres a app using more then 0.1% battery without you using the app remove it.

SnK, 30 Jan 2013Try to use youre internet only when u need and after that turn it off.ok budy thanx.but can u tell me is there any app that actuly held me to improve bettry back.
My third LG arrived today after a month of exchanging it because of a camera fault. Each photo I have taken has a pink cast on the central area of a shot. The technician at buy mobile phones said he has tested out the one I received today and said the camera was good. Not so, its faulty like the previous ones. Same problem. The phone itself is good and I was pleased with it. So what do I do now?
AnonD-12580, 29 Jan 2013For music, I've used only the default player- I use MX player only for watching movies. Say...... moreim curious myself hehe thats why i asked im not really a music listener and therefore dont have good headphones so i cant really test it mysel.
but i heard loads of people say thatthey could tweak some in the rom and with some dolby apps to get better sound so this made me think that its the actual players that make a difference.
same might go for video playback.
some apps that are actualy calculating the load might make the battery last way longer as its not loading the 4 cores for 100% like i know they stock app does.
pino, 29 Jan 2013have you tried this with the default player or have you also used different players to test it... moreFor music, I've used only the default player- I use MX player only for watching movies. Say... maybe I should try it out using PowerAmp.. The audio on MX player must have sounded different because of different codecs (as far as I know, MX player uses its own codecs- correct me if I'm wrong).
You just gave me an idea. I'll check it out with PowerAmp and will post back with the results. I've got a feeling that the O4X would sound better with PowerAmp than on the stock player.
hello m using this phone from 2 month m havng problem of battry i have to charge it twice a day and it take 2 to 3 hr for charg. so is there any thing i can do so my phon battry wil work batter or any app..rply soon.
Efficient standby mode- minimal (if not nil) battery drain. Can easily last 2-2.5 days with light usage and if I don't game. Main battery hogs are gaming, playing hd movies and surfing the web. Typically, it lasts me for the day with some gaming and movie watching mixed with short calls and a couple of hours of internet use. Satisfied for now, but as said before, there is serious potential for improvement with custom roms and kernels.
The O4X doesn't get warm with regular use like calling or while browsing light websites. It does get warm while gaming, prolonged browsing and playing hd content. It is however, only near the LG logo in the back (underneath it lies the Tegra 3 chipset). Such heating is to be expected- it does have a powerful quad core processor and a 12-core gpu so it's bound to get heat up a little.
But make no mistake, it's not uncomfortably hot nor does it cause thermal shutdowns. It definitely runs cooler than the HTC One X. Personally, I think LG has managed the thermal design pretty well- slowly dissipating the heat around the back and to the frames instead of letting it get hot at a localized area. I can feel it through the silicone case I've put around the phone, but it's not scalding hot. Hope I cleared this up.
AnonD-12580, 29 Jan 2013Further updates:
I decided to check out this aspect further. Earphones use... morehave you tried this with the default player or have you also used different players to test it.
i noticed that audio is vastly different in MX player then in default player.
this might be because of the use of different codecs or higher priority decoding or something else were not aware of.
I decided to check out this aspect further. Earphones used: Creative EP-630, Panasonic HJE900 and Westone-4. Music was mostly heavy metal and classic rock in lossless 16 bit flac.
General observations- average presentation of details, poor stereo imaging, average presentation of mids and high notes, high volume levels for my ears. However, it's NOT as bad as gsmarena's review paints it out to be.
The O4X sounded best with a low end dynamic iem which is forgiving of the source's flaws like the Creative EP630. It was actually enjoyable to listen from the O4x with these. Bass sections sounded best with these.
With a higher end dynamic like the Panasonic HJE900, the flaws become more apparent. The HJE900 is extremely sensitive and things like background hiss on some tracks and poor stereo imaging becomes are revealed. In 'Caroline' by Status Quo, I noticed that some sounds (high hats/cymbals crashing in this case) were almost entirely absent while playing on the O4X when I distinctly remember hearing the same sounds while playing back the same track on my Clip Zip. I think that the poor stereo crosstalk is the culprit here.
The excellent Westone 4 which has quad balanced armatures presents even the minutest of details in a track as well having an enjoyable sound signature by being not too clinical/neutral. Unfortunately, it is brutal and unforgiving of bad sound quality- both from the source and the recording. It was torture listening from the O4X with these. After half an hour, I was running back to get my Clip Zip. Suffice to say, multi armature iems do not sound too great with the O4X.
I'm speaking out of a semi-audiophile's point of view. The average joe will be perfectly happy with the O4X's sound quality- even more so if he's using some low end dynamic iems or the stock ones. Audio purists should avoid this for pure music listening. IMHO, the closest thing to an audiophile grade android phone would be the SGS and the SGS3.
AnonD-105779, 29 Jan 2013Dear Pino ..I do not know how to express my gratitude to you ..Thank you very much,,,, you mad... morei forgot to add that if you still find the audio to low you can head into a hidden menu and tune it up by about 20% but thats ofcourse not really covere3d by warrantee if they find out :)
Anonymous, 29 Jan 2013Is the camera autofocus issue fixed in v10e i believe the latest fix went in in V10F so youd really want V10F .
but v10c had some camera fix also. so maby v10f was video only.

Dear Pino ..I love you and you look really wonderful man ..Thank you again
AnonD-105779, 28 Jan 2013Thank you, Mr. Pino your interest to respond ..But I did not mean to talk about price, but for... morepeople in general seem to be happy about call quality and people on the recieving end also seem to be happy about the incoming sound.
this phone after all has a second microphone to cancel noice.
some people find the sound to be to soft trough headphones but i suspect they live in europe generaly and here the EU laws state a limit of sound output that is lower then devices had 5 years ago.
aperently the EU cares about your ears so they dont have to pay you expencive hearing aid devices :)
im still fairly sure 4.1 will come even tho they might stretch it to late march.
its still hard for lg to communicate propperly it seems.
and the main disadvantage for people seems to be the lack of a notification led.
but atleast for the black version there is a app you can install that uses the touch leds.
and i myself am trying to get devs to make a new style mod for the white version if it works.
(audio notification that repeats every x minutes which i hope is possible.).
