Hi all, I have a question. When i watch HD movies Youtube on my Optimus 4X, I only get HQ quality with a 3G network. When I watch the same youtube movie with Wifi connection, it appears in HD. Does anyone know if this is "normal". I hope it's possible to watch youtube movies in HD with 3G. Thanks in advance.

That's after removing bloatware. I am sure there are still some useless things here, but even now, battery drain in idle mode is very small.

Could you please send your list?

BTW, I've also applied some patch from xda-developers.com for battery life improvement and turned eco-mode on.

I only wish if battery drain when watching video was a little bit less (i suspect MORE than enough processing power is applied for decoding by existing players) and NOTICEABLY less when using 3G and Wi-Fi internet. Latter may be (or may be not) improved with other firmware, if they re-work GSM code...

I have had my 4X for a week now and love it. The battery easily lasts a day with good amount of use, two days with light use.

The camera is also good, not as good as the SGS3 but still easily produces good shots...also have zero experience with the focus issue in pics or vids.

The audio quality worried me on GSMA review but can gladly say it sounds great with equalizer set to custom (it is a bit flat with eq off).

In-call audio quality is very good, same can be said of the speaker as it gives off loud and clear sound and have had no issues with reception.

I personally like the UI and its implementation, very smooth and no lags or stutters anywhere. I like the small touches like themes, changeable icons and quick memo is actually pretty useful.

The screen of course is fantastic and a huge upgrade from what i was using before so no complains there.

In the end, great phone for the price i think, can't go wrong with it if you like the style/design of the device.
              Using ICS 4.0.3 version V10e

lost 3g data once in a while, weird.
and reading sd card is slower than note.
But super fast, screen is awesome. if you have never own a bigger phone, this is the one for you, cheers.

just to get everyone excited, Nvidia will be releasing tegra 4 smartphones early next year with HTC reportedly releasing the first tegra 4 smartphone. Just look at the specs of the tegra 4 chip, it's GPU will have 72 cuda cores with keplar architecture, that's 6 times more powerful than the current tegra 3. Also the CPU will be at least 2 times more powerful, should be one amazing piece of architecture.

Please LG bring out a full hd 6" smartphone, this will be perfect size, most people want bigger size phones and this is the way to go. I hope you do listen and come out with these bigger screens.

people moaning with regards to the size of the phone, 4.7 inch is nothing, they should go upto 6 inches at the very least. Everybody has different preferences with regards to size of screen so all should be catered for including those who, like myself, desire a very large screen.

luka, 16 Dec 2012This phone or HTC One X or S? And why?this is all up to you.

what do you use the phone for?
do you like or dislike the htc sense?
do you expect fast updates to the big updates like 4.0 4.2 4.2 and 5.0 or are you happy if the phone works and see it as a bonus to get big updates as long as you get the security fixes?

do you thig a replacible battery is a must? (i think it is if you are a heavy user).
do you like spot on colours or do you like the oversaturation of amoled? (some people do)
do you care about true black and white colours.
do you play games a lot and are you interested in tegrazone.
these are all questions tat help you decide for one or the other.

i can tell you to get the LG because i think its the best but maby thats not the best phone for you.

AnonD-89863, 16 Dec 2012What's that about giants screens on every phone!? 4.0"-4.2" was perfect, now 4.5 and... morei think thats a personal thing.
i agree they should make high end phone with 4.3 inch for people but i myself prefer larger as i have big hands and i hate typing on phones.
even in landscape on my 7 inch tablet i often hit 2 buttons so on a 4.3 inch screen it would just be frustrating to me.
i think 5 inch is the limit for a phone tho as otherwise it gets hard to carry arround.
and even with 5 inch it needs to ahvereally thin edges so the phone overal isnt to big.

phone makers are involved in a bigger and higher resolution screen race now but i think after 2013 that will stop i dont expect higher reso then 1920x1200 as its just unneeded and i dont expect screens to go mich bigger then 5 inch apart from maby the newer note like devices when they get smaller thinner edges they might go 5.2/5.3 inch but the device itself wont get a lit bigger as it simply doesnt fit in pockets.
so unless they make a man purse popular again its not happening :P
im sure in 2013 they will listen to the consumer and bring out some smaller devices.
atleast i hope so as for some woman these big things are just not as easy to hold and use.
