People will start paying attention once it's released and reviewed. Just like 1st Galaxy S, silent hit then becoming popular.
Hopefully it will be available in Europe before October.
i'm more interested in the oppo find5 x990... the specs are amazing... fullHD 1080p, 5", 441ppi, jellybean and 6.65mm... i just want a huge battery and i'll be set...
i cud care less that it is some cheap Chinese phone...
with those specs and price it could be a Guyanese phone and i wont mind
No doubt this is the most powerful smartphone in the world at present, should be more, than 90% popularity after release date ..If most of guys really knows, about the knowledge about what is processor ,what is hybrid display technology and what is qaud core s_4 pro processor.and most of other powerfull thing that packs in this Smartphone. They, will prefer this smart built premium smartphone with premium built.
I used to own an LG phone a few years ago. The screen wasn't very responsive... The UI was quite restrictive, it was a phone. It worked the way it should and that was all. I moved to the iphone afterwards. It was very easy to use (user experience improved after jailbreak)... with a large range of apps and fashion accessories (like some barbie doll) that I just don't bother with. But the fact is, I'm losing interest. I'm not fond of itunes (sync, sync, sync), Apple's series of global lawsuits (Suing a Poland Supermarket over a so-called similar logo isn't a first time, they sued an Australia supermarket called Woolworths back in 2009) and premium pricing (for what its hardware or software is worth...). Okay... getting back to the subject of interest.
Well, judging from the specs... this LG phone is certainly powerful. Ram, Quad Krait, GPU, camera, resolution. The design is sleek, I'd certainly get a black one myself. The only thing that would stop me from throwing my money at it is... updates. LG has a track record of either abandoning their phones or being very slow with updates. They have good innovation for their hardware, just that it's lacking in their software department... I'm tied between Samsung Galaxy Note II and this beauty. Size isn't a concern for me, I prefer a bigger screen with good clarity so I don't have to squint my four-eyes. Hopefully this one will upgrade to Jelly Bean as it plans to, or else it'd be CM10. No, a longer and thinner phone just doesn't meet my needs. Sure I'm not hoping to carry a brick but being 33 grams heavier isn't going to tip my scales. I'm sure everyone knows what phone I'm relating to. So, I shall wait for both the release of the Note II and Optimus G.
That was a very long post. I'd be surprised if anyone read this.
Note: I have never used an Android phone before but I'm keen on giving it a shot after reading reviews and watching user experiences on Youtube.
After the launching of iphone5
We can say that no one can beat Optimus G...
Optimus G. is the newChampion !!!
Wow!Amazing, design is an LG Optimus Chocolate on the making, a killer phone indeed!
sunny, 12 Sep 2012can anyone one confirm that back pops open for battery replacement, micro SD, and sim? LGO4X ... moreI've read somewhere that it's supposed to have a removable battery, at least for the Korean version. No idea about the Japanese version, or any other TBA versions. The sim card & micro sd should be removable as well, but I don't know where they're located.
In terms of specs cpu, ram, camera & battery this is THE BEST PHONE of the year (or in mobile history to date - given that the quad krait CPU and Adreno GPU out performs or is equal to that of SGSIII). If it is equal then this still has more ram With 2GB and higher pixel density 318ppi. Also the physical design is arguable better looking that S3. Just needs a stock Jelly Bean themed UI and we've got the killer of the year!
Here's a Question for our Android OEMs...
Why not ALL ( or more than 2-4)
1) Assemble a KICK ASS Legal DREAM TEAM.
2) Go after (Cr)apple good and proper.
3) Scorched earth mentality.
After all, unless YOU PEOPLE assume this is all going to blow away, (Cr) apple is going to continue to bludgeon you in every way possible. In the press. Or as they did XEROX see how YOU generate ideas, and "improve" on it. Patent it, then assume it suddenly belongs to (Cr)apple. A Travesty. But real.

Camera and video are very nice. my only issue if any would be with software but i can deal with that as i used SGII and this is a bit different. Overall i would say 8.5/10. Phone is quite think could have been a bit smaller than 131 mm but it fits nice in the hand. back cover is very nice and you dont have to worry about the phone slipping out of your hand.
I only buy the phones that have the removable battery incase the phone freezes. i had that problem with iPhone and sony xperia ion. ion was a waster of my money i sent it back in a day!
anyway thats my review of the phone. i want to really find out about this phone as i will not go back to Apple.

iDroidFan, 12 Sep 2012Hmm, rectangular shape with rounded corners. iFanboys can start trolling and LG can begin to p... moreNah, given that the original iPhone was something of an LG Prada ripoff, it seems LG has the upper hand here.
Anonymous, 12 Sep 2012Apple iPhone 5 killer for sure... Why compare to sub-standard Apple! You must be in the dark ages! Rounded corners are ok, but scream 'girly' just like the Honda CRV.
Specs are no more interested. even Chinese phones have 1 Ghz cpu and more ram. Now support and ads more interested. Apps play more imprtant roles
