LG always made great phones, but you know when you buy an LG, you're probably never gettin an official update. There are many awesome LG phones out there that still haven't received Android 4.0 ICS while other brands (like Samsung) are already polishing them for their Galaxy S2, which is, by technology standards, a bit "old". You buy an LG phone, you don't know when, or, if ever, you will receive a software update.

optimus g simply the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"The back cover of ‘Optimus G’ is made of glass and gives users diverse look depending on the light and the angle you see it via ‘Crystal Reflection’ design.LG has registered ‘Crystal Reflection’ design at the patent office. ‘Optimus G’ is an unibody that gives the impression of a dressed-up gentleman. The 13MP camera is developed by LG Innotek." This is from the official press release. Sounds good.
i am sorry for all those who are crazy about specs but lg has poor quality control when it comes to hardware just wait for heating up issues, network signal problems, bad mic etc.For your sake i hope they did a good job on this one
AnonD-1846, 30 Aug 2012Optimus G is definitely better than Galaxy Note 2. While most people can live without the S Pen the battery does matter for everyone. With the ridiculous battery capacity this phone has for it's specs there's no way it can last at least 2 days between charges, while the Note 2 will certainly do, so it's not "definitely better".
king, 30 Aug 2012i hope it wold be international Of course it will be. :)

I am SO getting this phone once it's out, I just hope so badly that it has USB-OTG capabilities! Knowing AT&T it likely won't be bootloader unlockable though :(

I'll buy this phone if it comes with LED notification light. New top end phones from Samsung HTC etc., all come with notification light which is very useful.
After the inferior Note 2 announced I can now say hello Optimus G as it's the better choice. I choose the up-to-date hardware with old software even though LG will upgrade it to "Jelly bean" at least and will hold me up to 2 years from now without any needs for more updates, actually even JB isn't much different from ICS.
