'apple iphone 5' is going to kill 'samsung galaxy S III'!!!!Good joke! Apple can't beat Samsung right now, maybe after 2,3 years. Android is on a much higher level than Ios. Ok, Ios has some strong points, such as Siri, but the S3 has S voice which is not that good, but in time they will make it to be good as Siri.
Anyway, this phone will be a big success for LG(my opinion).

ax, 26 Aug 2012Bullshit ! 2 GB of RAM is the same as used on a laptop.... it's too much !So what?! And Quad-core is not more than enough also for a smartphone? But you wanted anyway, yes? At least 2GB RAM is more usefull than a Quad processor on a smartphone. Great job LG and wishing that next step from SONY is that RAM also. Better is having also a great battery, LG, SONY...put your eyes on Razr's battery ;). LG to be greater you have to insert HDMI connectivity, it's very usefull ;)

Guys I wouldn't say Samsung will be dead after this announcement. Samsung isn't stupid, they knew it was coming and surely they have something to reply with. OK the S3 is out but remember Samsung can attact wit a WP8 device or something big to promote TIZEN.
And generally: what usage scenario give this phone advantage over SGS3? :) This LG phone is good on paper but - for example - the 13 MP camera will surely be a good noise-catcher (does it have PureView tech? -NO). Battery life will be - at most - as good as SGS3.

Had two LG smartphones. LG GT540 and 2X, will newer buy LG again. No OS updates and bad integration of hardware.

It's so annoying how these new high-end phones come with micro-sim feature. It's huge turn off for me :(

did everybody forget about the commedia for ics update of 2011 optimus lineup?dual, 3d, black! Next week gs3 will get JB, and works already perfectly,...before buying new lg phones,..wait at least 3-6months,...

I hope the do something for the positioning device.The can not just use a chip with only GPS and A-GPS.They should either support GPS,A-GPS and GLONASS like Samsung did or the best thing they can do is to use the new Broadcom
BCM4752 which performs the best in terms of positioning in indoor and outdoor places as well.And of course not to mention that it consumes less energy and the thermal emitions are much more less than the thermal emitions from the current positioning chips.
