qualcomm already released the jellybean source code in codeaurora website .. so there is no point in asking whether optimus-g will get jb-update or not.
still u doubt s3 is better phone , only god can help you bro.. :)

ics and jb updates will come to more lg phones in coming 2 months( nvidia dint relesed the vendor code for optimus 2x .. but now they did)

The thing is, it is an awesome phone. But 13mp camera whatever won't perform like Nokia Lumia 920's camera or Sony's xperia series.

the phone is ok and all but lacks in the few features such as the s-voice on the galaxy s3 as far as the software is concerned the the phone is running on ICS but yaaaaa LG phone do have software issues. the camera even though a 13MP one does not make much of a difference, if image clarity is the one that you require its the lens aperture few features are good but not that useful. it would have been more preferred if the phone would have got a personal voice assist like Samsung or apple over all the phone does ok not toooooo good not tooo bad

Don't forget the new SGS3 model I9305 also comes with Quad core processor using the Samsung 4412 Exynos chip with 2GB of Ram. Also, the GS3 is already getting Android 4.1.1 Jelly bean update now and it has expandable memory through Micro SD card up to 64Gb whereas this LG optimus has internal built in memory of 32GB only and no time table for Jellybean update yet. So, the performance of the SGS3 will be at least on par with this new LG optimus G. We have yet to see how the battery performance works out with this new LG.At the present moment, it is difficult to convince myself that this is far better than the SG3 where there are not many user opinions based on actual daily usage in order to draw this conclucion.
