AnonD-131826, 02 Apr 2013Something odd on my phone - I got a 'low memory' warning. When I checked it showed I was using... morePhone memory is different to RAM. Phone memory is the default storage when you install an application, while RAM is responsible for handling application operations, but it will be refreshed once you close an application or reboot your phone. When your RAM is low, you will experience lags. When your phone memory is low, then you might not send text messages. I wonder why you get that very low phone memory. It shouldn't be. I suggest you to move applications to internal memory (Settings>Applications>Manage Applications then choose an app then move to internal memory). You can almost move all except widgets and launchers. By default, some applications cannot be moved to internal memory like some games or cameras, but you forcely move it using the Android SDK Tool. Click the link for the procedure:
If you haven't installed many apps, and your phone is getting low memory storage, maybe the dalvik-cache is getting high storage use. To clear this, the easiest step is to perform a hard reset, be sure to back up all your applications and messages and contacts, or any other files. OR, you must root your phone and look for an application that can clear the dalvik cache.
Something odd on my phone - I got a 'low memory' warning. When I checked it showed I was using 153MB with 4.9MB free. That's less than 158MB, whereas the advertised RAM is 384MB. Anybody any suggestions?
default , 01 Apr 2013Ghuzz can i uprade my phone to ics or jb ......please upgrade the link
pls ......helpSo far, LG doesn't released an update yet for this phone. No ICS or JB updates are available, maybe because of their newly released Optimus L3 II that comes up with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. Chances are LG will not upgrade its android version, but I'm still looking forward that LG will make an ICS update for this.
If you want a custom ROM, try the cyanogen mod.
Had it for 1 day and already dust under the screen and the camera is pathetic

Save all your media files in your External SD. If you want to move your apps to ExternalSD, then first you need to root your phone then download link2SD.
the fone doesn't match up to my expectations. very low internal memory and one is not able to send texts. what application would help me move some applications to the external sd?
i had this phone from my friend for 4000 indian rupees. he used it for six months. i was not so happy about its performance at first. slowly slowly i became intimate with my L3 and it made me joyful all days. browsing, built in software, call volume, customizations and video recording all are impressive for a person with low budget. i really love my lg optimus L3..... it worth my money
Unnikrshnan B, 30 Mar 2013How to upgrade to ice cream sandwich, pls Reply me?perform software update. If an update is available, then upgrade. Be sure to back up all your applications first. You may also update using the LG Mobile Support Tool. But so far, LG doesn't provide any ICS update for this phone maybe because Optimus L3 II is the one that is upgraded to Jelly Bean, so there's a big possibility that LG will not upgrade this phone's OS anymore.
