Purchased L9 on jan26th . Awesome phone. Its been almost 2 weeks. Solid performance. the following are some points that i hav noticed.
1)Massive 4.7 inch screen.Very good to watch videos and movies..used to watch for arnd 2 hrs daily. Battery consumption is as mentioned by the battery test done by gsmarena
2)Best part Solid 1Ghz with 1 gb RAM. only 767MB user available. Checked with other brands and almost all phones are having this much only. HTC one X is the only phone having the complete 1 GB of RAm as promised.
3)Battery- Being a 1st time android user, had my difficulties understanding the android OS. Got used to it and loving my exp. With abv avg usage(3hrs gprs usage,45 mins of temple run 2,Subway surfer,Stick tennis[Not too graphic oriented game though :P]1 hr video and arnd 2 hr of phone call) it lasted 10-12 hrs..was impressed acually..Have to fine tune it some more
1080p HD videos play flawlessly. No lags of any kind.
Main cons i hav seen..
1)Apps cannot be moved to SD card..this is actually a bummer for avid gamers. 2.33 Gb user avilable..in that 350 MB already filled with LG bloatwares..
2)No Auto Brightness feature. U hav to keep atleast put 30% brightness to see in sunlight that too not fully clear..u can manage. With this brightness level too screen is using arnd 58% for battery consumption. Still working on this. To understand the consumption levels.
Overall i love this phone. No lags wat s ever. Sensitivity is really good..Used an iPhone 3 G before, not feeling any discomfort using this gigantic phone..Go for this phone if the above mentioned cons are coming in the way of ur intersts :)
OMG.. is it?? I cant believe this.. why would google do that?? any link with you to read further about this??
guys the problem is not LG. ..it's Google's who made internal memory as the main location for app storage since ice cream sandwich...so it's not LG fault
AnonD-101918, 07 Feb 2013does it have corning gorilla glass?? please reply..No... but it comes with a high quality screen protector.
EXCELLENT PHONE... IF ONLY only they can overcome a 'peculiar' memory location problem. It seems as if LG Electronics knows about this limitation, but have passed on this phone to their unsuspecting customers.
WHAT HAPPENS:
-- Phone ROM is called "System Storage"
-- Internal memory is called "Memory Card"
-- Micro SD Card is called "External Storage"
SO...
-- All apps get installed to the internal memory which is just 2.33Gb.
-- If installing large games or apps, storage space will quickly run out.
-- There is no "Move to SD Card" button in the Application Manager.
APART FROM THAT:
-- There is no provision to add your own customized sound profile.
-- Sound profile reverts to default everytime you restart the phone.
-- WiFi connection is needed for LG SmartShare to work properly.
-- LG On-Screen Phone is difficult to setup especially for novices.
I really wish LG would graciously acknowledge this problem and release a patch/update that AT LEAST gives users the option to 'move' heavy apps to their external 8/16/32GB SD cards.
I purchased this phone on 11-Jan, 2013 and without a doubt EVERYTHING about this phone is just perfect for the price... except this major oversight / design flaw.
N.B. Please disregard my comment below...

--- DON'T BUY THIS PHONE ---
I purchased this phone 2 weeks ago and I am VERY disappointed because:
-- All apps get installed to the internal memory which is just 2.33Gb.
-- There is no "Move to SD Card" button in the Application Manager.
-- If installing large games or apps, 2 GB storage space will quickly run out.

based on my experienced i was really impressed with it camera 8mp is superb( natural colors& sharper wider range /frame)
my battery can handled 6 hours of straight watching movies.
i love this phone.
this is the best phone !
lg's ui is the far best!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i love the camera very impressive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
nice job lg!
My previous mobile is Xperia Ray, It's got sudden motherboard dead, and Sony service center took 2 months to repair it. After that I started searching mobile within 20K and I decided to buy L9. but it was not availble in Coimbatore. I bought this at Bangalore on 26th Jan, 2013 after searching all the shop in Coimbatore. And Now I feel it is worth.
Pros:
1. Best value for money product in this range. (Rs.18,300/-) aompared to Xperia Neo L & J, Galaxy S advance.
2. A Very smooth touch screen with 4.7" screen.
3. Thanks for the 1 GB RAM, it just playing HD videos effortlessly. you can rewind, forward, etc without any lag.
4. massive battery in this range. I am getting 15 hours backup with 2 hours voice calls, 30-60 min browsing and whole day with 3G network. I hope more than enough for all.
5. Excellent UI with Pre-installed DVix player, document editor, Quick memo, etc.
Cons:
1. No option to move apps to SD card.
2. Less memory for apps (2.3 GB) for users, In-built memory should have been 8GB at least.
3. You cant operate or use this one hand with leather case.
4. Still camera is not so good, but you can shoot 1080p videos.
As per my experience, it was very good phone. I love this. Thanks to LG.
set brightness to 65 will bring longer lifetime to this phone. i can get 1 full day with normal usage and around 3 hours of internet and gaming which is enough for me.
Love the styling..better than samsung ui. quick memo is a nice feature. no app2 sd support out of the box.
bought it for a simple reason..i want to be able to play angrybirds starwars which im unable in my previous android phone and tablet. its fast..never stutter..good phone for 1 year to come. 4 years if your only need is phone, messaging, and office thing.
quad or octa core is overkill
oh forget 2 tell u after smsung im hve Lg hub n now im curently using Optimus 2x n L7..Optimus 2x is btery hunger but im already sinonim with dat..who cares i will change phone every year update
B4 im Samsung, now im curently using LG L7..samsung n lg are equal in quality n only little bet dffrent spec..price is better in LG.Sony cmera is a winner but by a small margin but what u want a phone or a cmera..im liking LG cos it prize n design also same like smsung icon n that Y,,this maybe my next phone or 4xHD.or maybe Optimus G but hre in Brunei Optimus G n L9 still not avilable..hve 2 wait or special order from QQestore
rajat, 04 Feb 2013Very nice phone. Just two issues, one is there is no auto brightness settings and second is th... moreand it hasn't HD screan with its gigantic 4,7"
ignesh, 04 Feb 2013gays how does games running on this device? brilliant
gays how does games running on this device?
I frnds,
I bought LG L9 765 on 13th Jan, 2013, I got nice lether case and also bought 16 GB SD card.
Pros: quick responsive touch, love to wach movies on 4.7", well fit case, no glitch even playing games sized > 1.5GB.YOu can move/store media files in SD. A day lasting battery with busy use :).
Cons: Not easy to opreate with one hand along with case.
Biggest Con not able to move any app to SD card, So 16 GB SD card worth less for me. Even can't play interesting games like Contract Killer 2 due to low inter memory and lack of move2SD function.
Over all satisfactory excet lack of app2SD :(
