how do i change 'preferred sim card' here there is no sim card manager. calls and mobile data are defaulted to 1 sim card wtf
8.1 update came. And this would be the last update for this phone. No Oct/Nov security updates. No talk about Android Pie update. LG is the worst "top-tier" phone manufacturer when it comes to updates.
Just to think that they have this new "Software Update Concentrated" department, and even bragged about it. Never again.
Is the battery improved after Android 8.1 update.
Please tell me some issues before I update to Oreo.
KHDL, 30 Oct 2018Never really understood the concept of secondary phones.Haha, then you will think i'm a total nutcase as i have about 20 smart devices, including phones&tablets&watch but then again, it's my hobby and hobbies are a different story ;)
I just purchased this phone as a secondary work handset, and it's great. It just received the Android 8.1.0 update. They need to update this spec sheet to reflect this. Works great.

Zendrix, 21 Oct 2018When i update my lg q6 + to oreo , it is worst because i can not play mobile legends properly ... moreYou can go back to Nougat if you're comfortable with flashing your phone's ROM.
1. Search the Internet to see if there's a Nougat firmware file (KDZ file) for your Q6 or Q6+ model/region. Download that file to your computer.
2. Search for and read the articles on how to flash ROM to an LG phone using the LG UP utility. Download that utility.
3. Search for and download the UPPERCUT.exe tool.
4. Read all the articles again to make sure you understand all the steps. Make sure you have all the utilities and files download.
5. Take a deep breath, cross your fingers, and go for it.
I've flashed my LG Q6 M703 from Oreo back to Nougat, then Nougat to Oreo, and back again to Nougat. So I know it can be done. However, I'm not responsible if you mess up your phone.
When i update my lg q6 + to oreo , it is worst because i can not play mobile legends properly it will black out but with sounds.. Then while on the game it will be crash.. And restart the game again,. Help me for this problem please? I want to make nougat again because tried and tested for gaming.
King, 13 Oct 2018Were we can feedback for lg to fixing the battery problem in oreo upgrade ?As mentioned in an earlier post, my Q6 M703 was updated OTA on 9/10/18 from Nougat to Oreo, but Google Play Services was using too much battery so on 9/22/18 I flashed the ROM back to Nougat.
Yesterday 10/13/18, I decided to give Oreo another try. I updated the phone to Oreo, then did a Hardware Reset to give it a fresh start. Google Play Services behaved normally this time, using about 1% of battery in 6 hrs (vs 4-5% in the previous Oreo update). Overall battery usage was about the same as under Nougat. However, Google Play Services kept using Data in the background despite the fact that Data Saver was turned on to disallow background data usage, and I turned off background data usage in each app. That's not acceptable because my phone plan has limited data allowance. Turning off Data is not an acceptable solution because I need to leave Data on to send/receive MMS.
So I flashed the phone back to Nougat and I'm done messing with Oreo.
