I'm actually waiting for the sequel to this phone.
LG Q7/ LG Q6 2018 / LG G7 Beat (G7 mini) *or whatever they're gonna call it*
LG has stated that they will not release yearly, which is a good sign that LG will make the mini version of their phone without removing hardware features that are used by everyday consumers; ie., Fingerprint Security, etc..
LG will probably put Fingerprint Sensor and Notification light (or even IR Blaster) on that phone, now that LG has heard the customers' feedback about it.
Nice form factor, design and screen/footprint ratio. Underwhelming CPU.
Would have bought it if it wasn't such an irritatingly slow performer.
very bad phone
very very slow..even contacts numbers are opening after 10-15 seconds...
when someone calls, it takes 15 seconds to appear name..
very bad phone
I bought this phone about 2 months ago... it has very bad camera, no light notification, face unlock often failed, and some apps (especially IG) are often crashed. I was trying to update system software using mobile data or wifi, but failed. And now update notification always exists on top bar. Not recommended.
LG Lover, 22 Dec 2017I have today received an update of around 700mb and more. Installed it and really it has give... moreI see people want to have latest processor, good built quality, great display, great audio, excellent built quality, whole day battery life, front display flash, IR Blaster, Quick security updates, butter smooth UI and much more. That too all in the given price range. I don't feel that is justified. I get whole day battery life with more than average internet usage. I have got lovely crisp display to put the likes of iPhone 7 to shame. I have got adequate camera with with many filters. I have got all the small unnoticeable bugs fixed through updates. I have got decent sound quality with great build quality. With the recent update the face recognition has become smooth to unlock. The heating issue reported at the initial stage by many and me has come to null. I seriously dont need more than 16gb for my data and I have got 32GB. I dont need much Ram as i dont play heavy games. I get snappy performance and very happy with my purchase.
Please friends dont expect brand to give you everything in a bucket, quality matters. I was disappointed with the camera performance but that was improved largely with the recent update. Also till date I haven't seen my phone getting frozen. I just need a phone with decent battery life and built quality which I get from LG Q6. Must also share that earpiece is also good also when you use loudspeaker for calls. Works very well.
Lastly. If you need everything so called perfect with all the latest update, please go for a flagship phone. Shell out some money in Pixels for Camera and Apples for performance. Stay happy. 😃

It is also next to useless if the phone's software is not updated often and not fully optimized.

In the UK the Q6 is similarly priced with the more better-specced Moto X4 and more expensive that a better-specced Moto G5 Plus. So, the £249 price tag is difficult to justify.
But is the camera faster, better quality photos than the two Motos?
Is the speaker (tho at the back) much louder/clearer?
Are updates a bit faster then the Motos?
Are selfies better? And does it have a screen flash?
Is the RAM/memory management better? (i.e. app reloading)
Better battery power management?
Better sunlight legibility?
Or shall i just stick to the Motos?
chipset of q6 is snap dragon 435 is not faster than other smart phones available in this price range...
if available informe me please

Ajay , 21 Dec 2017Is that phone have finger print sensor lockActually that phone have, but this phone didn't
LG Q6 works with me. I am so used to LG and nothing else matters. Love the small size 5.5" build. Suits me perfectly. Hope to see LG G7 or mini LG G7. Size matching Q6 but with high end specs.
I have had the q6 for a little bit now and this phone is amazing, the battery lasts the whole day on heavy use, the 18:9 aspect ratio is pretty cool. the lack of a fingerprint scanner is dissapointing but the face unlock has worked great for me. Now it says the q6 doesn't have dual band wifi and correct me if I'm wrong but i got my q6 in canada and my q6 supports 2.4ghz AND 5ghz wifi. Which is a good thing cause i can switch between frequencies. But I'd get this phone if you're on a tight budget but still I'd recommend the g6 over the q6 obviously but this phone is still amazing
