BHAVESHVAR, INDIA, 18 Oct 2016purchased on 16 octo, very good phone, i have no experience of many more other similar phones,... moreThat's because brands, cheap chinese ones, have taken over the mid-range market share. To put that into perspective, the Stylus 2 Plus costs twice as much as the Redmi 3s which has the same SD430 SoC besides having a couple of extra sensors like the Gyro, Infrared and Fingerprint (ubiquitous).
It's closest competition is the recently launched Asus Zenfone 3 Laser. It has 32GB ROM and a Fingerprint sensor over the Stylus 2 Plus.
Instead of launching the Stylus 2 with outdated SD410 SoC at 15k LG should've just launched the Stylus 2 Plus at that price. At 15k-16k this would've really been a competitive device. The reason why it is more popular in USA is because under carrier contract it sells for as low as 8k to as high as 16k. With, of course, the fingerprint sensor.
By the time its price cools down, there would be better alternatives. To remain competitive LG should refresh it with a newer and more capble SoC to handle intensive tasks at Full HD resolution. Large screens need more resolution and higher resolutions need an SoC to handle that load.
The SD430 just doesn't cuts it. Stylus is keeping it afloat.
purchased on 16 octo, very good phone, i have no experience of many more other similar phones, but it can be said camera seems to be at par with x play and j7 prime, i.e. very good camera, other experiences lateron as i get acquented with it little more ... but i have a que, despite being such a very good model why not its promotion or marketin in india, so surprising !!!

16MP/8MP version review:
Best camera I have seen in a smartphone of this price segment in a very long time. It beats all of it's competitors, be it Oppo, Vivo, Gionee etc. with selfie-centric phones. Removable battery is a big plus. Screen is good enough though not as Vibrant as say Oppo. The octa-core processor is a bit of a letdown as its SD430 but the upside is that it'll probably get a few updates and the GPU is good. The stylus is fun to play with....
This phone is truly LG's wake-up phone in the mid-range market. They would have had an outright winner had they just included a fingerprint sensor. However, I believe they can still do well. Start marketing this stuff, LG....
Can someone please inform me where on the camera can i lighten or darken the brightness of the picture soon to be taken.....i can't find how to.
daavee, 04 Aug 2016hey im planning to buy this phone please tell me how's the gaming perfomance as its only 1.2/1... moreCPU is about as good as Snapdragon 615, so read up on phones built on Snapdragon 615. GPU is better than SD 615 and is around the range of Helio X10 (PowerVR G6200), so it should be fine for most games at HD resolution.

Not my first LG.... surely not my last..
Its a month now since I bought it... I was worried about the Battery life.... it's perfect takes me through my day of almost endless video streaming... calls and apps.
Display is nice... camera is more than fine...
No otterbox for it given the screen size... but any leather flip cover will do.
For the price it's a great great steal...
storage is a hiccup but other than that I am very happy with it.
