Lauren Sanders, 05 Oct 2017I bought my I new LG stylus 3 months ago and started using it 7 weeks ago after having added ... moreIt has been found that installing so called protective/tempered glass on mobile phones mostly do more harm than otherwise...AMOLED glass and the other recent materials used on most mobile phones are actually scratch-proof so no need for these fake protective glasses...
Just got mine in the mail (M400DF version; 32 GB). Haven't put a SIM in it yet, but this thing is an awesome media player. With headphones connected, the sound quality easily beats my other phones, iPod touch, iPad and laptop (Disclaimer: not an audiophile but a casual listener of MP3's). The FM radio tuner is also nice to have.
It is a cool little phone. The camera quality is very low, but for me it is fine.
It has a fingerprint sensor at the back where I prefer to have and it has a pen which works quite accurately.
Very light phone, doesn't feel like a brick in my pocket, and the back is not fixed, so the battery can be changed if you happen to be in an emergency.
One major problemis that the model M400Y has no NFC, so beware that it won't work with android pay!
Just a quick note to advise you all: DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PHONE. Not if you expect to take high quality pictures. The camera in this phone is a PIECE OF *CRAP* (using less inappropriate noun here because of posting rules).
The camera won't focus properly no matter what you do. All pictures turn out blurry. The camera settings are idiotically simple: there's no way to adjust focus, ISO, exposition, NOTHING. Same with video: no way to downgrade the resolution from HD. I tried to use it at work in which I have to send low-res video over email/web, there was no way to record video on anything less than HD.
So yeah, total waste of my money. Third and LAST time I get ripped off by LG. TV turned out crap, BD player turned out crap, and now this phone.
Well, third time is the charm.
Anybody knows how to screen mirror to Led tv?i use anycast, pls. I want to figure out
this phone has many versions but changing to another rom is very diffucult,if you buy with
android 7 so it goes forever.S is better for change over custom roms one to another.
but L lock the phone to protect because no any change possible.android is looking like iphone mentality day by day more restrictions more ads more adv more money.
so android 7 is not as good as 5 but more restractions comes etc etc
AnonD-401822, 02 Dec 2017No news from gsmarena about LG stylus 3 latest update. -Less lag
-Faster Facial Recognition in low light (I know, surprise-surprise)
*still 7.0 Nougat, though (not even 7.1.1/7.1.2)
I have this phone since 1 month now and I love it. I needed a phone with (integrated) stylus and dual sim. I'm a stylus addict (have been using HTC stylus phones before the first iPhone came out) because of the precision and the ability to take notes. And I need a dual sim because I live in one EU country and work in another. Unfortunately the LG Stylus/Stylo 3 is not available in the EU (why??) but I was able to order it from a US company in Florida via ebay. I received a Stylus 3 model LG-M400DF which has 32 GB internal storage instead of 16 GB announced on the website (nice surprise). Total price incl. EU import taxes and shipping was 255 EUR. Basically, the only alternative currently on the market with stylus and dual sim is the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Obviously, many will say there is no comparison possible, but here are 4 reasons why I prefer the LG Stylus 3 over the Note 8:
1. The Stylus 3 has 2 sim slots PLUS a micro SD slot - the Note 8 has a 2 slots, 1 sim and 1 hybrid slot, so you have to choose between extra storage OR a second sim
2. The Stylus 3 has a removable battery, the Note 8 doesn't. Battery life is actually really good on the Stylus 3, it usually lasts >30 hours (but I'm not a power user) and I bought an extra battery for 15 EUR which together give me an autonomy of approx. 3 days
3. Compared to the Note 4 dual sim (don't know for the Note 8): both Stylus 3 sim card slots have 3G & 4G, so no more need to physically switch SIM cards between the 2G and the 4G slot like in the Note 4 duos.
4. The LG Stylus 3 is 4 times cheaper than the Note 8 :)
For sure, the Note 8 has many other great features (e.g. better camera & display, waterresistant, more sensors, faster CPU, more RAM), but for me they are less important.
Mine is 3gb ram stylus 3. I just got notification of software update, ver. V10f-NOV-09-2017. Do anybody got the same updater & has any good experience in doing updating?
Thanks for kindly response.
I absolutely loved the display of this phone . I prefer 720p over 1080p anyday.......i am not a pixel freak. to watch phone at a distance....720 p is my ideal preference. ....i also love its 5.7 inch size....i havent bought this phone yet...........but i tried it in stores........what disappointed me is the rear camera......the pictures were very soft and no detail.......tried it in 2 stores and both places the camera sucked....the front facing camera is great. awesome. The speakers loudness is perfect....am sure the battery 3200 will last.......i really hope it gets a good camera update in the future....so i can think of buying it then....when the price goes down
AnonD-703267, 25 Sep 2017I've been an LG fan ever since. But I can only go for their middle-ranged phones. So which one... moreLG Staylus 3 & LG Q6 both phones are at it's best. Bot phones hv latest software Android 7. Camera quality for both phones is same. Battery life of both phones is also almost same. But LG Q6 has higher display pixels then LG Staylus 3. LG Q6 is also stronger than LG Staylus 3 in terms of drop.
Only major difference is LG Staylus 3 has 5.7" display along with staylus. But in LG Q6 you get 5.5" display without staylus. Also LG Q6 is a compact phone cz display being 5.5", overall size of phone looks like just 5" display phones available in market & also it is 18:9 ratio phone, 2nd of it's kind in market.
In short, both phones are unique in themselves. It is us who has to decide which phone to buy.
