I just got an LG V20 yesterday. I got it after i traded in my note 7 and from the jump it just felt like a better experience. The software reminds me of HTC when i had my M8. I haven't had the chance to dive deep into the camera but so far the phone feels solid, the battery is holding up nicely, the screen looks great but not as good as the note 7 and the phone feels solid. I have no complaints so far. and one more thing. I love being able to double tap the screen to wake it up. I know that's a small feature but one of my favorites.

The reason is that V20 has a single piece of glass to cover a large area. And it's a simple physics that the larger the surface area, the more likely it will break. That's the problem. If LG used much smaller camera glass (if each camera had it's own small piece of glass), it would be more durable and less likely to break. There would be less glass surface exposed to the environment to collect scratches and impacts. If it had metal or plastic around the cameras with cutout for the cameras where the two small glass pieces would sit, then it would not break/scratch easily. The metal/plastic around the cameras could also serve as a bump to protect the camera glasses.
It's LG's fault. Both G5 and V20 have the same design flaw. They used an average (i.e. weak), large piece of glass to cover everything. Instead, they should have to use small pieces of Gorilla Glass 5 for each camera, and metal or plastic engineering in the place of where the protection foil now is.

If you pay attention to them, there's no real story of note. The V20 has been out in Korea for a month now with no reports of this issue, it is only when it came to the states and competes with the Google Pixel that this "problem" surfaced. So take it with a grain of salt, there's potential for a real issue, but also of fanboys being fanboys/ or marketers trying to undermine a great device
anyone experienced broken cam glass issue? I was considering the phone but I read it on the news that some people managed to break camera glasses. I need more information about that.
this is true. I wonder if these horrible battery and performance problems will be solved with this phone.. cause I do in deed love the camera and camcorder my v10

There are better hobbies.
LG Products are not worth of the price. Components have short life span result in device failure with in 1 year. Also, I suspect LG is installing a malware which itself run after 1 year to cause the device malfunction.
Because, I have few bad experiences with LG products.
Think about it before you got for LG
