Anonymous, 24 Aug 2017It actually isn't an accurate review. Accurate reviews have pros and cons. Personally, I actua... moreV20 is the best all-around smartphone I ever owned.
My G5 falls waist high and inside the holster case. It gets slightly damaged on the top. My V20 fell facedown on tile with zero protection by accidentally getting dragged by my laptop because I forgot to detach it. Zero damage! Not even any paint scraping off or scratch.
G5 is now being put up for sale. Along with its image retention, no ability to lower MP resolution, no external speaker for FM radio, and fragile build quality, all I had has been bad luck with this phone. V20 will stay with me forever. Will be used as a multimedia device.
Keeping Pixel, iPhone SE, and V20. Og Pixel and SE will be last of their series to offer headphone jack. V20 will be last flagship to offer metal back, IR blaster, FM radio, microSD slot, AND removable battery. The last flagship to truly offer it all like the Note 4 was from Samsung.
I have been using lg v20 since november
I is a great phone
But today i cannot open the cam anymore not by any way
I cleared the app cache
Restarted the phone
Tried almost everything
Still it is not working
And i dont want to factory reset
Can anyone help please

Other than that, marvelous phones. I had G2; the display burned. My G4, of course bootlooped after 14 months. Now, I am enjoying very much a V20 and hope to use it little longer.
Is this supported with Cast Screen feature in the settings of the phone?
I was looking for c9 pro.but my friend suggested me to go for v20 .after so much research finally i bought this one.nice phone with cool features

Personally, I actua... moreI'd like to add another very important feature: You can set the LG V20's SIM1 slot to 'LTE only' using a workaround for maximum download speeds. LG phones like Samsung and Huawei notoriously disable the hidden Android menu (*#*#4636#*#*) which makes it possible to force LTE only. Most all other Android phone manufacturers do not disable this very useful hidden menu. Thankfully, there's a workaround with the LG V20. Can't find 'LTE only' workarounds for forcing Samsung and Huawei flagships to be on LTE only network mode.
Anonymous, 22 Aug 2017Finally a accurate review! I was right to not buy it. Thanks! It actually isn't an accurate review. Accurate reviews have pros and cons. Personally, I actually bought the LG V20 because it is the only flagship phone which has almost everything: features that matter the most to the smartphone user; not just some fancy elongated 2:1 'NarrowView' screens with curved dges that break easily and cause unwanted touch screen interactions at the edges or anorexic phone thinness that do not serve any benefit other than bragging rights.
The LG V20 is the only flagship phone or any phone for that matter that has ALL of these features in one phone: not the fastest but topnotch fast processor, dual sim support, 64GB internal memory but with dedicated SD card expansion slot (very rare in flagships), not Amoled but very good IPS QHD screen, removable battery (very rare in flagships) - not the highest capacity but you can buy spare batteries or extended monstrous batteries for those long trips off the grid, FM radio (very rare in flagships), IR blaster (very rare in flagships), Slimport - hdmi out support (very rare in flagships), fingerprint support (nothing fancy but works reliably compared to a useless half-baked iris scanner), high quality dual rear cameras (wide and ultrawide) with fast, f/1.7 lens and excellent manual mode, a good enough selfie camera for the narcissists, 4K video recording, superb audiophile grade audio recording and playback, 3.5mm jack headphone support (becoming rare in flagships), USB C with really fast usb C cable charging (not some wireless charger that takes forever to fully charge), ebook friendly 5.7" screen in 16:9 aspect ratio (not some horribly distorted 18.5:9 ratio screen) + second screen, true multi-user support with near vanilla Android functionality/experience, guaranteed update to at least Android Oreo (hopefully Android Peanut butter also), MIL-STD-810G (drop resistance) rating (more important than water resistance), and with many freebies: B&O headphones, additional spare battery all for the price of now only $399 or less. I'd say buy it now before smartphones like the V20 (having almost everything) become a thing of the past. The only negatives I can think of are no water resistance, software navigation buttons that are too big wasting screen space (better if it had hardware navigation buttons only), limited theme support (Xiaomi is the best in this regard), not so big screen (I prefer 6.0"+ screens in 16:9 ratio, no curved glass), mediocre battery (though you can buy spare batteries for added usage time), not as fluid/smooth touch screen experience compared to the best of the best (Iphone, Pixels, Xiaomi and Huawei flagships).

Just be sure to buy genuine OEM, LG batteries as there are lots of fake/counterfeit ones on ebay that look the same but drain so much faster and charge slower than original batteries. Also, not sure if you are using a fast charger. It normally takes 1.5hrs to less than 2 hours to fully charge the 3200mAh battery from 0-100%. Also, starting with 100% battery at around 7AM, I am able to use it with mobile data on LTE all the time and still manage to get 15% by 5PM. With really heavy use, it usually dies by 2PM, so that's at least 7 hours from 100%-0%. It's mediocre performance compared to my Mi Max but nowhere near the horrible battery life you are experiencing. Maybe you need to update the software and do a factory reset.

Tom, 18 Aug 2017Hi, further to my query to you guys, whats your present software version in LG V20? I presentl... moreNo we anybody didn't receive it, is your set DS, and which region. It badly needs updating, but LG is trolling.
If you want or need a good quality selfie lens, this is not the phone for you, they put in a total piece of garbage for the front camera. Also the battery dies really REALLY fast, and charges really REALLY slow, and it doesn't help that charging turns off the Battery Saver, or that Battery Saver is just hideous to look at, it just means more battery will be used due to LG's poor design. I originally switched LG because I wanted to phase away from Samsung and because V20 had all the best specs at the time, looked really good on paper. Owned it for a year now and I rated it a 6.5/10 in my head, so disappointed. Since then I decided to charge my Note4 and V20 at the same times under the same stresses and measure with Battery HD app. The results are baffling. Note4 went from 15 to 100 in an hour. V20 goes 15-55 in an hour. The fact that it isn't waterproof too, tells me I should just trade it in to pay for the Note8 when it comes out. V20 was $830 when it came out and I regret agreeing to that price. Also the second screen is a cool idea but it doesn't have anywhere NEAR the amount of features it should have, a mildly creative person would look through the features and determine they hardly even tried.
Anonymous, 13 May 2017Anybody know how to force the dual sim version of this phone (H990DS) to 'LTE only' mode? I'm ... moreTry this: It will only work with SIM1.
Force 'LTE only' on SIM1 (does not affect SIM2):
Choose LTE only
This is one of the time when a Phone Manufacturer makes a mistake by packing all good things in a phone.
V20 is overpacked with goodies.
beautiful on all sides.
Go get it. U will certainly thank me soon.
Can LG make any better phone?
I'm loving mine
