Sold my v20. Severe burn in. Weak battery. Poor reception. Lg has a history of screwing the pooch and they havent disappointed this time either.
Anonymous, 15 Mar 2018People still use S3!And become an usual stream at the upcoming times.
Wait and see.
Anonymous, 05 Mar 2018Yikes! 6 years, really? That would be like still using a Samsung S3 today. What a nightmare.People still use S3!
When T.Mobile confirms the Oreo update for the v20, this a good sign that the update is coming indeed.
Will the lg v20 have the new oreo update?
I know sometimes we have to wait for the 1st quarter of the year to pass..
AnonD-744238, 13 Mar 2018When the Oreo update releases...?That's not known yet, would be glad to find out, but the rumours are the first quarter of 2018

Honestly was trying to see how it played on the phone itself. I have Netflix on my TV already so streaming to the TV wouldn't be necessary. But was curious as to the quality on the phone itself.
I bought the Moto x4 thinking it would be a decent phone till next year when they start cranking out 5G phones. Whenever it happens... But watching Netflix on the Moto x4 was terrible. Looked all pixelated... The specs of the phone looked better than my current Note 2, but the video quality was trash... Was thinking about the LG V20 or the G6 as an upgrade.

If you want the best video quality, you have to download the movie entirely for offline viewing choosing the highest quality available and play it back offline using a 4K slimport usb c to hdmi adapter. The V20 supports slimport output up to 4K resolution. Just connect it to your 60" or larger screen LCD tv and enjoy the highest video quality available which is not possible with wireless connections/online streaming.
How does Netflix play on the LG V20? How is the quality? Is it grainy? I had the Moto x4 for like 4 days before returning that thing... Netflix was super grainy on it. That and the clips I'd see on twitter were grainy too. I'm still rocking a note 2 here... Bought this phone at the lost and found at a airport. Could not believe the video quality was still better on this note 2 than the Moto x4.
I'm just wanting a better used phone until next year. When they start rolling out all those sweet 5G phones... The money spent on a new phone right now is a couple flights out someone nice for a visit... Just not worth it to me yet. Note 2 skkkrrrrooonngggg!
Anonymous, 10 Mar 2018V20 is gonna get Oreo, yahooo!Pleased to hear that. yeah. 👍
Yes, I agree. The prices of newer flagship phones are becoming ridiculous. $1000 for a smartphone that gets replaced every year or two! A device mostly used for calling, texting, Facebook, browsing, YouTube and occasional gaming. Wow! Does it really have to cost like a high end desktop PC? And does it really need to be replaced annually like manufacturers would like users to believe? Smartphone advances are reaching a plateau. Demand for the latest phone models are slowing down. Soon we'll experience the first smartphone sales decline. That's why manufacturers intentionally remove features that prolong phone life and usability. Removable batteries and dedicated external sd storage are no longer offered. That way, you'll buy new phones when storage is full or battery is dead. I'm tired of wasting money on those new flagship phones with fewer and fewer features. Ni more headphone jack, no ir blaster, no FM radio, no dedicated sd card slot, no removable battery, etc. It will only get worse.
I have my V20 for just over a year now & it's been good so far. Cons -long like a phablet well that's kinda technically what it is. Screen Burn is becoming an issue. I don't plan to upgrade when my contract expires at the end of the year so I'm hoping this phone can last another 3 or 4 years. I'm tired of upgrading & also the price of phones are becoming ridiculous
Anonymous, 06 Mar 2018Im still using my Samsung S3 (4g model) thanks to the feature battery removable : ))) Yes. Removable batteries make it possible to have 6 year old phones. IPS LCD lifespan is minimum of 10 years so maybe my Lenovo P770 (2012) model with IPS LCD display can still last up to 10 years. Let's see. My Lenovo P770 is also still alive because of removable battery (original battery was replaced - became swollen/bloated/non-charging).

Anonymous, 05 Mar 2018Yikes! 6 years, really? That would be like still using a Samsung S3 today. What a nightmare.Fortunately the LG V20 is future proof, because it has Snapdragon 820, f1.8 camera aperture and Android 7. It's a 64 bit system and supports the Vulkan API too. The Android 7 features like freeform floating windows are very useful.
Anonymous, 05 Mar 2018Yikes! 6 years, really? That would be like still using a Samsung S3 today. What a nightmare.Actually no. The V20 will still be very capable 6 years from now. Improvements in mobile phone technology have reached a plateau. It's like the personal computer really. Despite more efficient and faster processors, people no longer upgrade because the 6 year old i3 processor in their PC's are still fast enough, their full HD IPS monitors are still good enough and they only use their PC's for Microsoft Office, Facebook and Multimedia consumption. Just like mobile phones really. The V20 will certainly be not the fastest anymore or have the crispestnof displays, but still, it will remain a very capable photo shooter, phone, facebook, gaming and browsing phone, not to mention you'll still be able to use it as an FM radio, master remote and huge storage device owing to its dedicated SD card support up to 2TB.
Anonymous, 05 Mar 2018The extended battery and the battery case are two different things. There is no extended batte... moreThat's why is better put an extended battery instead the original with the supplied alternative case. Are advisable the 6.400 mAh models in order to an optimum grip.
