V20 has not had a pomp and show like S8+, otherwise it's nothing short of specs wise, probably LG has neglected third world countries penetration. That's why Chinese have come up with SD 835sets too. But V30 must have been anxious to launch. Only price and 128gb internal must.
Using V20 since Dec 2016. ItÂ’s the most underrated phone in my opinion. Excellent build quality, gorgeous screen, very useful secondary screen, superb B&O headsets for my audio experience, below average battery life, excellent call quality & reception are some of the standout features in my opinion.
ItÂ’s the rare breed of smartphones with dual sim + dedicated SD card slot. Have Airtel 4G+ Jio 4G Sims as well as a 128 gigs micro sd card installed on this super beast. This gives me a total of 190 gigs of usable storage!!!
No heating or boot loop as some LG trollers keep posting here! ItÂ’s still butter smooth as when I bought this 5 m back.
Actually V20 has better call quality & reception than my GS7 Edge. Earlier I used to get complaints from my wife for non reach-ability on GS7 Edge but no more on V20. I will not update to S8 since it only has a hybrid sim slot which doesn't match my requirements anymore and pray that LG or some other vendor comes out with dual sim + sd card slot in future handsets to sway me away from V20.
Only regret was I bought this for a whopping INR 55000 in Dec 16 on India launch although there was a company scheme to trade in my GS6 for INR 20000. Now itÂ’s retailing for INR 37500 and indeed itÂ’s a shame that such a wonderful phone lost its sheen so soon. This gives me hope to buy any future LG handset say 3-4 m after launch to get it at 60% of launch prices. Of course I will stay away from LG G6 since itÂ’s a hybrid sim again!
Also hope that LG keeps producing such masterpieces often and there will be a handful of informed buyers like me who get to enjoy the experience rather than the public perception of LG being a bad brand.
Mr Grey, 24 Apr 2017Can someone please tell me if the dual sim version of the LG v20 has the same options of my G5... moreExactly as you said and in both SIMs but at one of them at a time only ( the one that is using mobile data ) the other one will not have any network mode to choose from
Can someone please tell me if the dual sim version of the LG v20 has the same options of my G5 in the network mode settings, does it have the following...
I'd like to know the exact settings it has.
V20 has been a Success with out pomp and show! Products speak of themselves, not mongering. As V30 is just months away, it wud be big leap of faith
DEB5, 21 Apr 2017I've had the v20 since Oct. I experience some boot loop & battery problems at first but I ... moreBootloop is Bootloop, and what is some Bootloop. ........?
Are you crazy
Not a single V20 found with Bootloop till date
Since a couple of days I'm enjoying the full v20 functions running smoothly. The purchase subject, however, Quad DAC, means a clear step ahead to music lovers, both, through loudspeakers and with headphones.
DEB5, 21 Apr 2017I've had the v20 since Oct. I experience some boot loop & battery problems at first but I ... moreNonsense No bootloop, Nor anything but Crazy to write something. Best of Bests cell, just wait for V30 instead, just July.
Anonymous, 20 Apr 2017I AM planning to get the v20, do you advise me or no? either the v20 or htc u ultraDon't by lg. I had g5 it suffered from image retention.
I've had the v20 since Oct. I experience some boot loop & battery problems at first but I went to the carrier and traded for another one. Ever since then it ran like a well oiled machine. I was once big on samsung I owned the very first note phone then note 4 then note7 after the note 7 disaster and my phone was recalled twice,I gave up with them. They wanted me to downgrade to a galaxy s7. I just moved on. The v20 is pretty impressive it's give and take with samsung features. Yes I lost the water proof and the amoled but I have FM radio & Quad DAC sound also I like the remote system that controls all my electronics even my A/C I lot of these features other phones don't even have. Read the specs on the new S8 it's not nothing there to really drop your jaw about. 12MP camera the v20 has 16MP. S8 has a 3000 mAh battery the v20 has 3200 mAh and also capable of 1TB of storage I'm willing to wait and see what the V30 has to offer just amoled & waterproof would be fine for me but pls the removeable battery is a must l never have to worry about carrying my charger or looking for a wall outlet.
V20 must have been made in batches of thousands. Any hardware faulty defect will show in all, irrespective of region or shipments. Anybody complained off heating up, during charge, or other wise, frozen screen, all defects you can cook. But actually it's our personal experience, which leads to unhealthy experience. Either it passes away, or corrects after reset. Or we too
Over emphasis it, create Sunsation! Just enjoy and share experiences only.
Wonderful phone, smooth as butter. More beautiful in real life than on pictures. Audio quality is phenomenal and the option to replace the battery as well as the IR blaster are rare on today's phones - but irreplaceable for me personally.
Olien, 21 Apr 2017Really are you hesitating with the LG devices or plays a unknown game ? I'm being serious. I think is a great device but I wanted to say my experience lol Btw I have the h990ds. So I don't have any guarantee, it was only for 30 days...
I'm not trying to say is a bad phone. But maybe I have the most faulty unit in the world haha
I am an honest vendor of Mobile Phones in whole sales in Dubai. The Best in all respect, all rubbish of overheating, bootloop or camera! It's all in the brain of people who have nothing to do in life than start writing comments, as they don't charge its free. It one of Brilliant phone with 500$ Gpu, Cpu, all upto the mark. Nonsense who makes jokes out of no where. I would continue V30 experience but after prices stabilize, n 3rd Qtr 17.
(Sorry for my bad english)
First of all, I loved this phone. I was insanely crazy about how good it was. Im not trying to say that is a bad phone, is amazing but I'm disappointed. So, this is just my experience.
So, I have this phone for about 6 months and it has been a pain in the ass. First the second screen has a flicker, and sometimes it doesn't work properly, it freezes a lot.
The screen has image retention.
The "Quad-Dac" sounds awesome, but in the real day use if you don't have a 50ohms pair of headphones is not going to work. Just try the B&O headohones with an iPhone, they sound a lot better with that phone. Just because LG threat every headphones as a "normal audio device" and they sound flat.
Camera isn't bad but it's not the best. The selfie camera I need to admit, is really bad. The quality is meh. But if you move just a little bit in a place with low light then is going to be blurry. With good light is fine.
I mean. I used to love this phone because of the second screen and the Quad-Dac. But right now, I'm just disappointed.
Btw, the only thing that has never failed is the performance. It takes a some seconds to open Facebook and Play Music. But there is no lag. So, nice there.
Anonymous, 21 Apr 2017LG V20 is good, but one thing unacceptable it's suffer image retention is always occurs specia... moreThat's exactly what happens to my phone, and I gave it a normal use. I mean, wtf LG.
LG V20. LG stands for "Load of Garbage". This phone. A plasma from years ago. A monitor that sheared itself from its base due to simple gravity. Nothing but junk from the former 'unLucky Goldstar".
LG V20 is good, but one thing unacceptable it's suffer image retention is always occurs specially when you use it for 10minutes....
