It is so sad, that they have removed the rear volume rocker buttons.
Damn it.. This is the main feature I'm probably going to stick to my G3 for a long time..
Can someone tell me if apart of V10 another model brings secondary display, SD card, removable battery, NFC, FM radio, IR blaster, top levels of audio recording and video recording and playback, plus QUAD DAC. ? May I had been a wrong purchase.
Security Patch, heard its seeding, with GSM stating version no's, still no traces since month. V30 No Amoled but Oled one, in between!
We're still on the February security patch- 6 months old! Come on LG....

When you can do that AND create a smaller, universal standard and drop your archaic multi-standard line-up while still having backwards capability support for it? Why would any company, or consumer not want the newer, easier to use standard, that is technically safer, and more hassle free (USB-C AFTER it was regulated better), with the added benefit of auto-negotiating pin-outs, Smarter controllers, and more headroom for future versions?
USB-A and B are compatible to USB 3.1 Gen 1 which is still pretty new...with 5Gbs data rates and 5W power outputs, it isn't bad. USB-C helms USB 3.1 Gen 2 because of the wattage boost, 100W can fry internals if the polarity is wrong, and with USB-A and B, that can happen...C...there's much more safety measures in place.
Your argument is similar to if you have an EDGE phone, and complain when your provider drops EDGE services in favor of 4G/5G, making you have to upgrade....except in this case, the provider leaves backwards compatibility, and only leaves you with a need to buy a $5 adapter.

-_+, 13 Jul 2017such a beautiful specs, nice and decent ones, but UGGLY AS HELL!!Well you can do one thing at a time.. Use it by it's screen or stare at it's back.... Do decide urself for what one buys the phone...
And if it is for show off only... Then better get a expansive diamond... Hold it in hand and wander...

But they wanted to push Type C without any useful benefit to sell new products, resell the old accessories with new connector. There are a lot of devices with Type-C connector without 3.1 standard.
Anonymous, 12 Jul 2017What you are failing to realize, is that USB-C was/is the only current connector that is utili... moreAnd that's the manufacturers fault if they don't make products with USB-A and 3.1.
The problems that you have mentioned are not proven, otherwise nobody would say that USB-A and B are compatible with 3.1.

The USB-C and USB 3.1 are tw... moreAlso, reversible USB-A connectors could not pass certification, they were third party uncertified connectors. This is due to the risks of shorting out the open pin layouts, the centered pin tab in the ends were bending to match either way of entering the port, and the side that did not connect, had open pins, which if near or touching any other part of the port would short, and send 5VDC somewhere it wasn't meant to go.
Anonymous, 12 Jul 2017What you are failing to realize, is that USB-C was/is the only current connector that is utili... moreThat auto-negotiation of pin-outs is the advantage that USB-C has, the controllers do not simply pass data over a dumb cable..there are extra pins for it to know the exact pins to send data...it is similar to when Ethernet gained auto negotiate support, instead of having to manually configure 10Base-T or 100Base-T, making sure both ends are set the same.

The USB-C and USB 3.1 are tw... moreWhat you are failing to realize, is that USB-C was/is the only current connector that is utilizing USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10Gbs Superspeed USB w/ 100W USBPD), as well as Thunderbolt 3...they are only made in USB-C formats, mainly because that 100W of power, if polarity is reversed on a non-reversible USB-A/B connector can cause serious damage (yes the ports prevented wrong entry but it was still possible)...USB-C remedies that by auto negotiating which connector is plugged where. This is also why USB-C is backwards compatible, as USB 3.1 Gen 1, and older controllers can easily pass their lower wattages and data through a cable to a controller with higher max outputs, and understand the pin-outs, as they will see the old "dumb cable" and function normally.
Anonymous, 10 Jul 2017Lol do you even know what USB-C is? or MicroUSB? MicroUSB is the smallest form-factor of USB-... moreYou don't even know what USB-C is, just making yourself look bad. The USB-C and USB 3.1 are two different things. USB-C means just the shape of the connector. 3.1 is the new USB standard which is compatible with USB-A and USB-B too. The only advantage of USB-C is that it' a reversible connector. But there are reversible USB-A connectors too. The other things that you have mentioned are the new things in the USB 3.1 standard.
