Screen burn ins normally happens on amoled screens. both v10 and v20 all have lcds so I don't think that should be a problem. personally I haven't experienced any sbn's on any lcd screen b4
The phones in the V series come with excellent microphone-units, and should be using XiPH-FLA compression (FLAC audio track codec) as audio track for the videos like the HTC One M10 does.
Can anybody verify that?
For lossy compression, ogg (compatibility) and opus (maximum efficiency) is better suitable, and for videos, H265 or OGV or XAVC-s is more efficient than MP4, but could require slightly more performance from the CPU/GPU units for video compression. But the missing OiS in earlier phones such as SGN3 contributed to a messy video quality, because those little shakes affect video compression, independent from surrounding light sufficiency.
Mr. Nobody, 02 Nov 2016Any V10 owners here who encountered screen burn ins? Im planning to upgrade to V20 but skeptic... moreIve had my V10 for a long time now....haven't experienced burn-in, though I don't leave my screen on with max brightness for extensive periods of time. However LCDs (and LED) displays cannot have permanent "burn-in". There's potential for "Ghosting" in LCDs which is temporary or this:
"LCDs suffer from a something similar - which is called image persistence, a static image causes a parasitic capacitance to build up which prevents the liquid crystal molecules from returning to their normal relaxed state. The good news is that it's reversible and can be performed by an end user.
It can usually be recovered by displaying a full white screen and depending on the severity of the persistent image it can be recovered in as little as an hour..." -From Ars Technica
Burn-in hasn't been a thing since the old plasma TVs and CRT TVs, It happens in CRTs when the rays actualy burn the phosphorus coating off. (Newer plasma TVs actually prevent it).
My wife has the V20, however

Any V10 owners here who encountered screen burn ins? Im planning to upgrade to V20 but skeptical if I will also be having this issue.
Anonymous, 02 Nov 2016lol quadcore
That's all you have? The snapdragon 820 is quad core, yes....it is also clocked much (Almost 1 GHz) higher than the SD 430 in the Xiaomi...supports higher clocked RAM (1688MHz vs 933MHz)...and the 430 also invalidates the argument of the larger battery as it doesn't utilize big.LITTLE, which makes the 820 much more efficient. There's also matters of Cellular signal support, display support SD 430 goes to 1080p (the xiaomi is 720p) the SD 820 supports up to 4K, camera support (resolution, number of cameras, lenses, etc.), the equipped GPU (430 - Adreno 505 vs 820 - Adreno 530), The list goes on.
Number of cores in the SoC isn't a big matter, as cores do not fully represent the speed or efficiency, it can be useful for multitasking (if you could have 8 active tasks running on a phone)...however outside of that core counting isn't of much use.
Feride LG G3, 02 Nov 2016Better??? Yeah right! You can't compare this beautiful beast to Xiaomi! So unreal!lol quadcore
just made an early buy on the device before it gets to israel.
cost arround 3400 ILS(890$)
comes with extra battery+external charger
bundelled are also VR headset, cam360+waterproof case+lg p7 flow speaker, retail price here for 2400 ils(630$)
PSA: the V20 supports usb 3.0, but it only comes with a USB 2.0 cable in the box.
IF you do a lot of data transfers, get a quality aftermarket USB 3.0 type-c cable like the Anker Powerline series.
Mastour, 31 Oct 2016I think Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime is better with 4100 mAh battery plus quick charge and its only 148$Better??? Yeah right! You can't compare this beautiful beast to Xiaomi! So unreal!
venom0706, 30 Oct 2016I found the V20 on Ebay for £578. I would definitely buy it at that price, but something... moreNever get such a costly smartphone fron EBay. It's not worth buying it! This smartphone is a beast and it got amazing specs! Also don't go for the dual sim version. If you get it who knows when you gonna get updates.
I hate Lg fake user, 01 Nov 2016Lol sorry we dont go for cheap phone here..Go to the store give him 1000 bucks and take the phone and then let him keep the change this way it won't be cheap anymore
I've had this phone over a week now, and I can't express how great this phone is, in literally every aspect. I consider myself a heavy user and gamer with over 200 apps installed and this phone hasn't faltered in the least bit. If you're in the market for a bigger display, this is the one. Has an amazing quad hd display, very vivid with great saturation. Second display is very useful making navigating through your phone much easier than the lg v10 or even Samsungs side control. But where this phone truly shines is in multimedia. This is a techie's dream phone. Recording video and sound is second to none, and for audiophiles not needing to connect to an external dac, it's simply amazing. Enough power to push through your highest of impedence headphones. No matter what you're looking for in a phone, you just can't go wrong. It's beautiful, future proof, and oh yeah, it has a removable battery. Coming from a Note 7, you'll love this phone. Check out some review videos, this phone is legit!
Does the European model has an fm radio? I´m definitely planning to buy one in a couple of days. This is the best phone I've ever seen. At the very beginning I am delighted with his appearance and specifications.

6. Speaker kind of weak
7. Minimal bloat but can't uninstall, only disable

I think Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime is better with 4100 mAh battery plus quick charge and its only 148$
blue.apple, 31 Oct 2016how much in LG v20 here in the Philippines?PHP 35,999 when you buy at a LG store, I've pre-ordered mine but planning to wait for a couple more weeks for more user reviews. They said the price will be less 3k if paid in cash, but again, I haven't gotten mine yet so can't confirm on that.
Harry Haller, 29 Oct 2016I enjoy & feel priviledged owning my V10. What I'd like to ask is, does V20 really worth t... moreI didn't think so, but when my V10 died with no warranty replacement available, I decided to make the upgrade. The V20 doesn't have any significant new features, but it works much better in every respect - it is significantly faster and smoother, and a joy to use. The display is noticeably better as is the camera. None of the glitches I'd endured with the V10, I'm delighted I did the upgrade, it's well worth the money.
