Get the latest build from Lineage: https://download.lineageos.org/devices/joan/builds
Do follow instructions before attempting.
Moreover, hardware is still capable.
Only downside I felt is Stock Camera was better as LG team has optimised it. In Lineage it is above average not great like Stock. Other downside is you will lose on VoLTE if you are on that band.
I'm okay with the above two caveats, now atleast I have latest Android features and little future proof for next 5 years :)

I love these LG devices from 2016-2019, especially the V series from the 20 to the 40.
