Just see the updated battery test result for v30
Video playback 16:48 . impressive as compare to note8
Web browsing 8:14. Way less than other flagships
No buy for me. I might hang on with my g4 until pixel 2xl price comes down a bit or may be oneplus 5 or htc u11.
With Regrets, Wicked ways of Wicked World, V30 is yet to be seen n rest of world except US. It's always a weak point of all vendors, USA is all for them. Afraid price must be cut to 500$ as mate 10 & N8 already available.
Anonymous, 05 Oct 2017No infrared indeed this is enough for me to keep looking for a different new phone. You literally can build your own easily: ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=42oZOYd4Vq4 )
there's more complicated designs that give you better signal output as well:
( https://www.quora.com/How-do-I-make-an-IR-blaster-with-a-3-5-mm-jack-to-control-my-TV-and-AC-with-my-Android-phone ) Just use whichever app you usually use such as peel(ad laden) or AnyMote (which is more user friendly) and profit from an awesome phone with a better than stock ir blaster.
Anonymous, 06 Oct 2017then there is no other option for u except xiaomi phones..Huawei flagships also have IR blaster

emflorence, 05 Oct 2017What about the DAC chip, wich one is included? 32bits/192hz worth anything if you are going to... moreLG's HI-FI QUAD DAC sample is to be used wired, both with headphones and with loudspeakers.
What about the DAC chip, wich one is included? 32bits/192hz worth anything if you are going to use wireless headphone? Wich protocol (blutooth or wi-fi) and headphone can work with this sampling rate?
So no headphone jack on the pixel what next the pixel 3 will be running ios whatever when its released
LG exposed, over a month, but still looking, it's price of 900+$ looks abnoxious, and we are now not willing to spend. What ever it maybe, I have made a budget, and wait till it comes down.
Raduescu, 02 Oct 2017Front camera is for little girls. real grown men use rear camera and a mirror. KAPPA. LG v40 will have IR blaster, improved selfie camera and 8gb RAM. Everything else +/- same.
DeVille, 04 Oct 2017Yes I read about the f/1.7 lens confusion -https://www.technobuffalo.com/2017/09/05/lg-hid-one... moreSony was first that introduced Snapdragon 835, in February on Xperia XZ Premium and the phone was released in June long after Galaxy S8 with Snap 835 :D
FeederEater, 04 Oct 2017Ofc, i was just using a metaphor for an ostrich as you did :D It was confirmed today that Pixe... moreYes I read about the f/1.7 lens confusion -https://www.technobuffalo.com/2017/09/05/lg-hid-one-of-the-v30s-most-important-specs-but-for-a-very-good-reason/
Your theory is interesting- Could be possible... Manufacturers release their product in haste to beat competitors and cash in on purchase season. Last year or earlier some brand did something similar- LG or HTC can't remember.
Anyway we'll know soon, hope it comes to stores sooner than later- I have time till end Nov to make a purchase as that's when Note8 may see price cuts and Mate 10 would also launch
DeVille, 03 Oct 2017My frustration is against LG because a bad display could ruin one of the best flagships of 201... moreOfc, i was just using a metaphor for an ostrich as you did :D It was confirmed today that Pixel 2 will use same P-OLED, as LG is making displays for them. So i am sure that Google wouldnt have picked LG for displays if they had some hardware problems.
As for the other part, i do agree with you. After all those years, this was the first time that LG didnt tell us when will phone be released and the first time that i couldnt predict when will it be released. At the start of september, i was sure that V30 will be released in the beginning of october, but i didnt predict that it will be only in US, we still dont have dates for Europe, which is really sad coz i live in Europe. We would usually get the date on reveal day, but with V30 it was different. They delayed the G6 as well, but we had the dates for it even on reveal day.
I have a theory about V30 delay (even though it fell to water when V30 was released in Korea), and about them not giving us a date of release for other countries, listen to my story :D
If you remember the first few days after V30's release there were stories on the internet that V30 is not actually using an f/1.6 but an f/1.7. And we even saw that pre-production models had bad low light photos. So my guess was, that LG didnt manage to get enough sensors for LG V30, and so instead they put an f/1.7 in those pre production models, and still havent managed to get enough sensors till now, so they were waiting october to start shipping them (october as the month that they were/will finally be able to get enough sensors). I hope i managed to explain it well to you xD So that was just my theory :D we will see if anything has changed in few days when they make reviews for US models (october 5th and 6th) as i didnt see much of those Korean models.
