Phones with removable battery are dying, phablets are becoming the reference...
I will stick with my LG G4 forever apparently...
I envy these newer LG phones, especially with the V30 having the OLED display. Makes me wonder why I bought the G5 a year back. This is what a real competitor to the Note series look like!
Here's my beef with this... they list this phone as having a much larger screen than the V20. In fact, holding them side-by-side, the V20 screen is physically larger (and I'm not including the 2nd screen on the V20). What needs to be done is to have a "surface area" measurement of some kind that gets the mention. The V30's usable area is less than that of the V20, and considerably smaller in all usable area than the old GPro2 that I wanted to replace this phone with. The V30 looks and feels a lot smaller than the Note8. In fact, the V30 is likely smaller than the Galaxy 8, when you actually hold them side-by-side, comparing the screen real-estate. I honestly don't know how they are considering new to old measurements even comparable? This phone's usable screen is just tiny, compared to my GPro2... and yes... I'm even counting the area with the on-screen buttons as screen real estate. Disappointed.

I´buying a LG V30 this time around. My Sony Z5 is over 2 years old, and I know LG make some of the best sounding phones,so although I could have kept the Sony phone a year more, I wanna try the LG V30 simply because I have heard so much good about LG V10 and V20.
I trust LG to be doing something good, though it could have 6GB of RAM.
It's all public stunt, even people like to buy 850$ set, still there are no proper SS or outlet's in SEA. Individual shopkeeper wud arrange, and pass through many hands. LG has missed bandwagon.
V30 is already great and praised even with non final software. This phone is really great.
AnonD-418871, 09 Sep 2017The LG30 looks nice except that it doesn't allow for the user to change batteries. What about ... moreV30+ would seldom be available, not till next year, it's only 128 GB space. Also forget price at launch, and first batch has all the problems, eventually rectified next quarter.

As for the S8, it just crops the top and bottom of the video and makes it 'full screen' (so you loose like 0.5cm on top and same on bottom).

You having p**n on your phone so you need more than 64GB? I heavy camera user so i need a lot of space and i have tons of videos and other photos on my phone too. I already bought SanDisk Extreme Plus 128GB and with 64GB on V30 it will be enough. I have 32 + 64GB on my G4 and it is not enough for my use of camera as i have 6000+ images made by camera on G4 which take about 45GB of storage and a lot of videos that i already moved to my PC as there was about 30GB of videos too. And i always have a few movies on my phone as well. So yeah, 180GB will be enough on V30, for me at least.

The LG30 looks nice except that it doesn't allow for the user to change batteries. What about the LG 30 Plus, 64 GB of Memory is not enough space for me. Will the LG 30 have more memory ?
