my main reason to pickup this flagship were IR blaster, extractable battery and FM radio. This features are difficults to find in a flagship since galaxy note 4.
If Lg go mainstream with waterproofing no IR and no Radio i won´t buy

@ LG Phone USERS...

How good LG with providing Software update ?

I never used LG phone before and i am very very interested to buy LG V30, i was waiting for OP 5 and it was disappointing for me, then i wanted to buy S8+ but price different is HUGE between India and US so not buying it.

It seems V30 have everything i want Big screen size etc etc. this is just pure beauty... and i'd still like to bit more for this beast.

any thought ?

Thank you in advance.

I wonder how popular this model will be. Last year, some picked up a V20 in lieu of the Note 7. V20 customer satisfaction could aid sales of this model.

1/3" sensor size, 1.12 µm pixel size, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR

Let's hope (For LGs further existence) the rumored specs are wrong about camera. They tried it in G6, and they lost.
Second screen was the one left specification that makes V series unique... If rumors once again are true, gooooooodbyeeeee LG....

G5 and V20 have better camera than G6 and V30. Because in the case of G6, the reduction in resolution does not come with larger pixel size. So G6 has lower resolution without any benefit. Moreover, G6 has smaller sensor (1/3") than G5 and V20 (1/2.6"). And V30 will have the same camera as G6.

I bought LG V20, because it has removable battery, dual sim card + dedicated microSD card slot.
I will ditch LG if they seal the battery inside the phone.

Hamburger, 09 Jul 2017V30 is bigger than V20 but now no more radio? No more removable battery? Hmm.....I think they had to move to fixed design due to bootloop issues in the V20 and some earlier models. I want an easily replaceable battery, but it is possible the design changes necessary to maintain replacability were within reach yet.

If this phone will be water resistant and allow me to use 2 sim cards and a memory card at the same time, I'll definitely buy it.

My 2 Cents, 05 Jul 2017Android cant handle 2 SD Ports, in fact the original idea was remove SD Cards dupport from And... moreExplain how it connected USB drives work fine then Android is based off Linux the only reason it can't handle multiple storage spaces is if Google or the hardware maker specifically does not allow such use... To prove to Google such demand exists would be what gets them to actually support the feature. As it stands right now sealing the phone to prevent battery replacement and SD cards is something to drive accessories and initial sale of higher capacity phones. Bottom line if my phone does not have SD card support I'm not buying it and my next one will have a removable battery. My Moto x doesn't and I am pissed off because the battery seems to be falling off a cliff and I have no option to fix it...

I really hope LG dont toss Second Display, Superb Sound, FM Radio and IR Blaster, also removable battery, those are little things that make V Series a real flagship phones.

LG's 'V' series (only two, so far) is a Multimedia / Content Creating Champion (in my opinion). These two aspects are what makes this series so awesome. Any changes made to the LG V30 should only strengthen and enhance it's Multimedia prowess and Content Creating arsenal. Having (keeping) a removable battery and expandable storage should be a standard feature in such devices. IR Transmitter, FM Radio, Quad DAC ....and maybe even a stylus (one day) will keep the 'V' line of LG my first option when I'm planning to buy my next smartphone. LG knows it's V series is a super smartphone.... my concern is : Are they smart enough to keep it that way ?

Amoled screen 128 internal bezeless design, Main changes just think only last year bought V20 DS for 500$and now buy again for specs, on screen only, main purpose same, but itch in the ass, to change, even sell previous at half price and buy on full price is obnoxious! Just think how many of end consumers ultimately bear loss and problems risks of Brick Phone, for A piece of toy to listen talk, enough is enough!
