Initially, it didn'... moreYou made me realise, yeah LG is very bad with their software region lock, some features is locked also the signal, maybe it can be done with hidden menu, but some are not, that's why people choose samsung instead of LG, altough LG quality is decent but their region locked is not convenience, Samsung is not that strict however even using other phone series regions
Thank you for making me realise that i still have trauma with V20 and G6 region locked which pretty painful

your comment is like you were living in some place that out of signal and you didn't know what happened in that year, since 5G mostly in USA, it is normal that OEM only put 5G bands that used in USA not in global version
Even now 5G is available in some country, it is still Trial and very limited coverage

Anyone knows how can i make file manager to include folder names on search, it only search for files while using keyword search.
On android 10 it used to include folders on the keyword search.
Using for example ES explorer search just like i wanted to, android 10 used to do too. :/

V50s' A11 do have a permanent enabled shutter sound.... more I use GCam when I want to shoot quietly :)
LG Camera shutter sound is region specific AFAIT

It won't lock.
Initially, it didn't detect but after restarting and reinserting, it worked.
VoWIFI option is there but it is only tied to U+ network band or region/network band specific. The support can be enabled for Indian bands by rooting. I don't know how to do with V50 and I'm hesitant to experiment with this cause it is precious to me and I don't want to brick this device. But I'm very confident that VoWIFI can be enabled and it is easy cause I have LG V30 and we could enable that by tweaking some system files(after root). Same with VoLTE.
But, just for your information, I tested the sound quality with VoWIFI enabled pixel and it sounded same at the other end when compared with V50. Sound is HD.

This code enables a menu on korean variants, other variants have their own codes.
You can enable VOwifi in the svc menu. I didnt notice a change in enabling it or disabling it ( on mine it was disabled by default), so its probably affected by region and provider.
Changing things in that menu is at your own risk and could damage your phone.

On a side note, the smartworld app is so barebones, you cant download fonts anymore -_- and most of the other themes and background are the free ones...

It works on LTE using airtel network but getting indoor range issue. Can we enable wifi calling option. And yesterday I got notification to android update 10 to 11 . Should I update it i am worried about my phone getting factory locked or my phone language getting to Korean language. It is safe to update new software and do factory reset

Only thing I dislike about Android 11 update is the semi-transparent blurred drop down menu for notifications. Looks bad.

Anonymous, 15 Oct 2021I saw five people on reddit report scrolling lag. How about you?Its the smoothest lg Rom so far. No lags or sign of slow down. Just did factory reset after the A11 update and install everything new. A11 on v50 has brought life to the SD 855.

How about you?Yes, I saw on Reddit few people reported that but at my side this update has really brought cool effects and UX is awesome. Scroll at my side is smooth too.
Give a hard reset in case you experience that and I'm sure it will solve else downgrade to A10 as there are ways.

Nana, 15 Oct 2021does lg v50 has volte?It supports VoLTE.
But it is region-dependent. I got the Korean model and I'm not able to use my VoLTE network in India on Jio though I can use other 4g LTE networks with HD Voice.
But you can enable VoLTE by modifying system files(not straightway and requires root, check volteenabler on Telegram channel)
So, if your carrier works only on VoLTE, don't consider this as it will be little overhead for you to enable it.
