HalloMicha, 10 Apr 2021Ok, so you think even if they where carrier-branded, Updates are possible ??The one i own is the korean variant purchased from alixpress and know will get the updates as they are released, the last one being released on april 1 2021. I live in south america and it updates just fine, even the LG radio app works.
Just waiting for the android upgrade, i also own a v30 that was also from alixp korean variant and that one got all the updates including android OS upgrade, until it went out of circulation in late 2019. (jan 2020 last update).
Shouldnt be different with US variants, maybe there are owners here with US variants working outside of US.

I have an urgent question regarding the V50 and would be very happy to get help here...
Does anybody know an LG V50 gets Software/Firmware Updates in Germany, when it's carrier unlocked BUT was branded from Verizon or AT&T before ??? I would like to buy an LG V50 on ebay and want be sure to get Updates vom LG even if it was carrier branded but unlocked for reselling. Hope, that anybody can give an reliable answer. Thank you!!

i a t-mobile user and i care about network connection
welp i guess i gonna go for the oneplus since it is compatible with the network (t-mobile unlocked)

Quick question, does it work with the tmobile network perfectly like on 4g,I dont want to make a big mistake and the phone doesn't work on tmobile

Mine has proved that mil std quite well...a lot of dropped ..countless times sit on it...3 times dropped on water puddle..so far so good..just cracked screen protector..im using glass with uv glue...dont forget to buy high impedence earphone, gotta make used that quad dac to fully appreciate it...but dont put your hope too high for the update...and if anyone in here know best earphone please share.. ive listen to music alot since i got this phone..it was that good...im using cheap chifi earphone...

plus that mil std certification is really useful because i want a phone thats lasts me a long time
has headphone jack and wireless, plus that wide screen is really useful for me when texting (since i got big hands) the oneplus is slimmer
hopefully the v50 doesn't sell out

Arod, 08 Apr 2021well i found a oneplus 7t for $264, $10 cheaper im still deciding this phone or the oneplus If then just go with oneplus 7t...90hz amoled screen sd855+, why would you even consider to buy lg v50...i would go with op7t ..but sadly at my country op7t is more popular and pricier then lg v50...people buy phone based on performance not many will care about ip rating and mil std..

Arod, 07 Apr 2021do you own the phone if yes pls tell me ur experience because im planning to buy the phone ... moreIf you wanna compare its hardware and ui with other flagship i dont think lg v50 gonna win...but the reason you and i attracted to this phone is the price...im never regret buying this phone..my friend get nova 5t for the same price...the only thing his nova beat mine is 22.5w fast charging and 48mp camera with no ois...sd 855 is a great chipset for gamers or for normal user like me its mean better battery consumption...unless u got other sd855 phone with same price as this

Anonymous, 07 Apr 2021My antutu is around 413.000 make sure u not running apps, downloading apps, or updating apps ... moreIf so then ..that means maybe i got a defect unit..ive run it many time with all app and system updated still max result is around 370+++...but for geekbench and other benchmark app the score is same as published only antutu...im not into custom rom...more to official rom ...since this phone is quite fast and the bloatware is not that worse...and im not a pro user so im afraid of bricked this phone...hope lg will give us the update

UI is neither Very good nor bad, just...ok to use. i do not really use camera a lot, but compared to my Huawei P30 pro, V50's camera is not that impressive. I really enjoy the QHD HDR10+ screen. Battery was good in my case since it is a secondary, i charge it maybe every 2 days. SD855 is still Fantastic for multitasking, gaming, etc.

make sure u not running apps, downloading apps, or updating apps when doing the benchmark
since LG Closing their smartphone business im not sure when they gonna update the software, but there is lineage OS 18 based on android 11 laying around in XDA if u into that.
