Go look at a dictionary for once in your life. Hybrid means a mixture of something so do you really think hybrid zoom is just digital zoom? No. The S20 has at the very least 2.5x optical zoom.

CptPower, 24 Mar 2020I think 700 is too much for this low end flagship device. Dont think so. Its great value for money. Look at Samsung! Double the price for S20 Ultra. I dont think S20 is twice as good. If there is good software support this will be a great device and a possible turnaround for LG :)

Overkill for the 5000mAh battery? When two 1440p displays don't even surpass the amount of pixels in a single 4k display? Y'know, like the 4k display in a phone called the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium? A phone with a 3430 mAh battery? Wow great argument you're making there. And no, it isn't on par with the S20 in terms of its cameras. All of the V60's shots are always way more washed out than the S20's shots. And don't even get me started on zoom, with the V60's non-existent telephoto lens that they for some reason still haven't used even 4 years after they started popping up in phones, while the competition already has up to 5x optical zoom.

MiFan97, 22 Mar 2020I would say that 2018 was also a great year for LG. V40 and G7 were such big improvements over... moreNo in 2018 they added huge ugly notches. That ain't an improvement. And for that reason I personally would never choose the V40 or G7 over the S9 or Note 9. And on the G7 even while adding the notch they still stuck with a cruddy LCD. So there's no way to even hide it by blacking out the top of the display. (Which is what most people do so why even have a notch) And the G7 still had a terrible 3000 mAh battery to power that power hungry 1440p LCD and power hungry 10nm 845. The G7 didn't improve the cameras over the V30 except for upping the megapixels on the ultrawide sensor to 16. The V40 had better cameras, but still had the same battery capacity as the V30, and ruined the design with a cruddy notch. There was one diamond in the rough from LG in 2018 that mostly went unnoticed however, the LG V35. Apart from the meh battery that was a solid phone, so I guess that was an exception, even if it was just a refresh of the V30. The whole point of my argument is that LG is now making compromises all around which they didn't do before.

Anonymous, 22 Mar 2020Yes, it's too big, but you also get that huge 5000mah battery.Well, you get that in the 6.4" Zenfone 6 ZS630KL as well. And that one has stock Android, twice the storage, higher screen-to-body ratio, no notch etc.
This one has a better chipset, higher-end connectivity and an OLED screen, though.

But I admit that 2019 was a really disappoiting year. This was the year LG got overshadowed by others. Don't get me wrong, G8 and V50 were not bad by any means. They were still on par with the competition. but they really looked very similar to their previous generations. This is why they were not exciting. Especially V50 which in my opinion should be called V45. Such a minor upgrade it was.
But I don't think that V60 has a mediocre camera. At least it's on par with the vanilla S20. Just wait for some camera comparisons and you'll see...
The only problem I have with V60 is the display's resolution and refresh rate and overall, the way the phone looks. It's where it loses to the competition.

It's on par or even better in some cases with the S20 lineup, at a cheaper price, and second they went with a lower resolution display because of the dual screen accessory, 2 WQHD+ displays would have been an overkill for the bettery.
