Truly an A+ for LG on this one , put aside all youve seen from LG before , this one hopefully is the start to something great fir LG . Its truly a smartphone for people looking for something sophisticated , performant (765G almost looks like a 855 series in their) , outstanding battery (especially coming from LG) and feeling to hold has to be its greatest asset . All around this has to be one the nicest smartphones to discover in North America this year . (Carriers here dont provide a huge aray of smartphone brands compared to the international varieties out their) Only bad thing to say , it is a little expensive but defenitly if price isnt your deal breaker this is a terrific choice . (Coming from an enthousiaste that uses the Oppo FindX2 Pro and OnePlus 8 as daily drivers)

The phone looks great. Its LG and thier fucked up policies of worldwide distribution - or LACK of it! The announce a version of the phone for Australia for example, but then say the second screen isn't available. Thats the BEST part of the phone ffs! LG just DON'T LISTEN to customers. EVER! They're hopeless, clueless and downright bastards.

Subramanian CN, 04 Aug 2020Please explain me the uses of a double screen other than fancy performance. What do you mean b... moreThere is no way the other person can convince you since you are a gamer and already set on the ROG. The same way non-Note fans will never understand the use of stylus.

The dual screen makes multitasking easier as you do not need to swap apps more often like on the single screen. And even with splitscreen/multiwindow tasking, lots of apps do not display properly with that mode. And let's not forget how annoying an onscreen keyboard can be when typing as it gets in the way when it shows up.

Anonymous, 06 Aug 2020in about 6 six months, this phone will drop 1/3in value.Lol. It was already half it's price in Korea. Are people still hung up on resale value? It's an era where people either keep their phones for a long time or nobody lines up because a lot of people are unemployed.

Unless you have a zombie following like Apple.

Specs does matter a lot. Of course it is a specs competition, for everything in this world. If you go to an interview it is nothing but your spec sheet that can fetch you the job. Coming to the point, as Asus ROG Phone 3 is a gaming phone it is optimized to handle tougher jobs which makes it easier to handle any day to day simple jobs thrown at it, which is termed as performance. Moreover, can't you accept that its processor is more powerful than velvet's. When you compare other specs like the Camera, WiFi, USB, Charging speeds, etc. ROG Phone leads. When you compare battery and gaming aspects again ROG Phone leads. How can you say that these are fancy specs?

Needless to say that Velvet has additional specs like wireless charging, dual screen, IP68 dust/water resistant and MIL-STD-810G compliant. But, it does not guarantee ruggedness or use in extreme conditions. Finally, when you compare prices again ROG Phone wins.

What do you mean by fancy style? It it the inclusion of stylus pen? What are the usabilities of this device over Asus ROG Phone 3? For me a stylus is more useful only on a tablet. Please explain me properly to help me buying this device.

Subramanian CN, 03 Aug 2020What would you like to say, if I say Asus ROG Phone 3 is better than this and I go for it.That it's not specs competition..enjoy the fancy specs. I will enjoy a double screen, stylus pen and fancy style with lots of usability. Who cares you have a bit more battery and fancy preformance. Velvet specs are good enough for me and just about anyone.
