Just over a couple of months after Microsoft dropped hints that the Lumia 950 and 950 XL could get the 'double tap to wake' feature, the company has started rolling out a new update that includes the feature - both devices are receiving it.
If you recall, Microsoft had accepted that 'double tap to wake' for Lumia 950/950 XL is a common request, and asked users to upvote it in Feedback Hub. And given that the feature has now started rolling out, it's reasonable to assume that there was enough demand for it.
Reportedly, the update is currently only available via the Windows Device Recovery Tool, although OTA roll-out should not be far off.
Microsoft has had the double tap to wake since 8.1, they just didn't put it on the 950/950XL.
if the sensor is covered, double tapping to wake doesn't work. So if it's in your pocket it shouldn't turn on unless the sensor is sticking out the top.. lol
You are damn right imo because i dont care abt the os as long as i get what i want from a phone with ease.
