MediaTek Android Rumors Qualcomm

Qualcomm is expected to announce its upcoming high-performance flagship chipset next week during Tech Summit. Meanwhile, MediaTek announced the Dimensity 9000 last week - the first smartphone chipset built on the 4nm process. According to reports from industry insider Digital Chat Station, the MediaTek chipset will carry nearly double the cost of its preceding 5G chipset. This means we can expect to see high-end smartphones powered by the new chipset to be more expensive than devices powered by Dimensity 1200.

The report also mentions that although the Dimensity 9000’s price will be almost double that of the Dimensity 1200, Qualcomm’s unannounced S8 Gen1 will still be more expensive than MediaTek's incoming flagship chipset. As for the 5nm Dimensity 7000, Digital Chat Station reports that we may see devices powered by this chipset arrive sometime in the first quarter of 2022.

As per a more recent report, Qualcomm’s new chip might actually be called the “Snadpragon 8Gx Gen 1” instead of “S8 Gen 1”. Whatever the case, we’ll find out next week as Qualcomm kicks off its Tech Summit on November 30 where it will officially reveal the new flagship chipset’s actual name.

MediaTek held its Summit last week where it announced the Dimensity 9000, making the drastic change in numbering scheme from Dimensity 1200 and jumped all the way up to 9000. This was likely to make space for a new family tree of smartphone chipsets that MediaTek plans to release in the future.

According to recent reports, we may begin seeing devices powered by the Dimensity 9000 chipset arrive to the market in February. This corroborates with MediaTek’s estimated Q1 2022 for devices to arrive with the new chipset. On the flip side, the Xiaomi 12 may be the first device to arrive with Qualcomm’s new chipset, possibly before the end of the year.

How can it be in, "your own experience" if in the last comment you said that you've never used a device with a Dimensity 9000 in it??

If you haven't used it, then your opinion holds no water and is practically meaningless
