Xiaomi Android

Mediatek is expected to launch the Dimensity 9300 with a unique octa-core CPU, and today the platform appeared on AnTuTu's database. The SoC posted a result of over 2 million, which is a new high, and the scores for every single component is also noteworthy.

The CPU will have 4 Cortex-X4 units and 4 Cortex-A720, likely in a 1+3+4 cluster combination. There are no “small” Cortex-A520 units.

The device used in this test is unknown, and the model number speaks nothing to us – it could be a testing bench. It was tested with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage, while OS is Android 14.

This result is the first time we have seen a phone surpass the 2,000,000 threshold on AnTuTu. Each component is a lot higher than any Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 result - the CPU is 65% better, GPU is 55%, LPDDR5X RAM + UFS 4.0 storage is 33% faster, while the UX scored over 50% higher.

All these numbers are the raw performance of the hardware. The actual experience is unlikely to be so dramatically different, unless you get some properly impressive cooling. Mediatek is yet to announce when the Dimensity 9300 will arrive and which phones will have it first.
