Bought it 6 years ago when it got released. Still using it. Very good quality hardware. But not software though. Also it sends lots of information to xiaomi servers, need to block some destinations to stay private.

Actually I really like this smartphone...however I really like if there can upgrade the OS version..
Right know only running on Lollipop.. some of application I need.. I can't install it because the apps not compatible with the current OS..

I've had this phone for about three years now. I was always very satisfied with it, the memory was more than enough for me. Yesterday it displayed problems for the first time, but after many hours of work - following instructions in forums about flyme UI - I managed to update the flyme version and the phone is mostly working again.
After three years of mostly perfect functioning, it went to 24 hours of freezing and crashing every 30 seconds, and now it's been almost fine for 18 hours or so, but did crash three times over that time period.
I think it'll have to be retired, but I have been very pleased with it over the time I've had it.

I am using last 2 year Meizu MX 5. This phone specification and quality are very good.
I am facing last 2 days screen lock is open with touch but whenever i am open wallpaper application, call logs, music application is not open.
so i am humble requested to you, to solve my query.

The biggest mistake I made, after two years of using it with ocassional problems (after one of software updates front camera stopped working, glitches, etc.) it got worse first it blocked all of google app, i tried to fix that, but i couldn't, after that SMS flow stopped, now I can use it just like old fashioned phone, to call and answer calls.

I'm still using the Meizu MX5 as of now, It has a working time of over 2 years now, It's not scratched, the screen works perfectly, hell It's battery still holds a long time with full use.
I'm a Technician so I guess It's gonna work with no problems in the right hands, sorry your mom couldn't be satisfied with the camera lens durability. U would advise to look up Nokia 3310 for her (for some this newer type of technology is just not durable enough)

Do the quality match the price when you buy it new.After to years if using this phone iam going to admit , that was a good choice . The phone andels verois application at time never goes in a gap or get blocked the best ever experience of android version. Flyme Os is the best opponent to IOS. The best battery endurance. Cammera quality is bad in all Situations it was a delusion , as I was accpecting from a Sony sensor a higher Standard. The Infrared is unsable, the flash is good.The Language options are limited. The materials cover are good. The Display is a good Amoled . This phone is super for gps signal, wifi super utms ,4g signal super . The fingerprint sensor and the navgation button in one is a great Simple thing .After i had the display burntout with alcoohol. I change it and the result even better it works as it was working in first days i bought it .

I had the same issue with my old LG Optimus G where the battery was non-removable, like this this one. I'm afraid you'll either have to take it to a service shop to have the battery changed or....well, it's time to buy a new phone.

Hello,
I have this phone for almost 2 years now. The last 2 months I'm facing this issue : the phone shuts down by itself and in order to turn it on you have to plug into the charger otherwise it doesn't turns on. Does anyone knows why this thing happens. It's very annoying

Wonderful hardware and build quality. The camera is excellent in the sunlight but quite poor in low light. Came with Android 5.1 and will never have an Android update.

Using it for for some time now, more than a year. For the price can't be better. Never had a problem. When I bought it, first what I installed was Nova launcher so I'm using it as any other Android phone. Good quality, good camera, very fast. Long story short would recommend. Also looks like 800 $ phone, not as I paid it.
