And this is something I would try or you may have already done this. Have you connected the phone to your home Wi-Fi or network? Let me know, I just bought this phone and just need the memory card.

I have a problem. Multiple apps dont open. I got its battery out, but nothing. These apps are weather, camera, phosot and maps. The rest are opening. This is after the update i made in 10 Feb. I have the phone for one day. Thanks!

Unable to download apps. Keeps saying " you encountered an error. please try again later". I have been on this for over 24hrs and still not getting results. Rather frustrating. Would appreciate if i can be puit through on what to do.

Turning on location. Makes lumia 550 restarts or hangs. Specially in build 10586.29 the thing is turn off location and update it through windows insider. Mine is build 10586.29 touch screen is good. 5finger touch points in hardware test. Everything is fine except i cant use location. I haven't updated it yet to 10586.71 because im still waiting for 1 stable wm10 build.

I bought Lumia 550 but problem i charge my phone battery full even i switch on the battery saver option but within 2 hours battery comes to 50%

I bought this phone on 06.02.16 and I want to get rid of this horrible set by now. The old saying "all those glitters are not gold" is perfectly applicable for this phone. screen resolution is very good, built quality is also good. Good quality speaker & mic but with weak qualcom chipset it hangs 6/7 times a day and you have to remove battery to restart it. It happens specially when you open map ( activating location) to book app based cab service. Also touch sensivity is not up to the mark. All in all a total waste of INR 9000/-.

I started to read your comment but somewhere around half of it a bitter puking sensation enveloped me. Nokia is nowhere near bankrupt and they, like me, don't read 4 page emails with stories about unicorns.

How much mb phone updates for this mobile. Does it support update via 3G or 4G. Or wifi is compulsory?

Me i just bought the lumia 550 and honestly the display is great and clear than my old lumia 535. Build quality of plastic black is good. Camera is great also. No touchscreen issues mine is firmware xxxx.21004 out of the box. The wierd thing is its not made in china but made in taiwan. Any its great and good quality phone. I like W10 mine is build .29 out of the box.

I have seen a lot of people making negative statements towards the 550 on various forums and places like GSM Arena.
I own a 550 as I like its size and the Windows OS and 10 looks very nice on this however we know that there is still some fine tuning to do but if this phone is updated its smooth but a lot I think don't understand how to use it or to update and just use out the box which it has a few problems out the box however keep it updated its fine.
For a entry level contender it offers a great deal and for people to compare this handset to say a Iphone 6 which is what I see a lot basically shows the lack of intelligence of some.
Personally I choose 550 this is because I like WP OS it suits me,

Bought this phone on the 1/2/16 i did a factory reset,out of the box updated to latest version which took me 25mins,via wifi at home,phone is running smooth no problem at all.
The only thing is the charger is only a 550ma output this is why ppl are complaining it takes hours to charge a empty battery,i used my old motorola charger 850ma output charged it in 1h16mind from 20% charge i have ordered a 2000ma output charger for $6.95au,this should charge it very quickly,other than that im loving this new phone and for the money i paid i cant complain..

if it's like downgrade from lumia 540, no.... it has 4g, 64 bit processor and smallest 4,7 inch that it' very nice to hold it... and not take so much space in your pants

This or 640 ? I worry 640 is a bit big, this maybe better to hold, how is build qaulity? is the 210 Processor enough?.

(Plug in ... moreMy phone had already been updated with the windows 10 update which took more than 2 hrs when I bought it..I set the app download option to "device" only.But the whatsapp "favourite section" doesn't populate any contact.i deleted & reinstall whatsapp twice but no luck. Even when using wiffi the store doesn't open up, gives an error to check the connection while at home however can use wifi to receive whats app messages. Has the windows 10 beta got anything to do with it?is it the beta version of windows running on 550?
