Microsoft Lumia 550 - user opinions and reviews

My initial Lumia 550 is very bad now a days. Especially the battery. It drains 5 times faster in battery savermode than Lumia 520 without battery saver mode. Should I update this to Redstone 1..?? Or should I wait for Redstone 2..??? Plz reply anyone who really knows. And if possible plz reply me on sauravscorpi@hotmail.com... I'm really freaking out. Help.

In-spite of so many negative reviews and comments, I still have a good experience with this device. I guess the problems where mostly when the product was launched with buggy win10. After updates, I guess it is a very good value for money phone. It is a perfect phone for me. May be, expectations vary.

Lumia 550 cannot handle whatsapp, cannot send voice messages, sometimes cannot open pictures, some times goes in tilt and need to be turned off. Battery is very limited, not enough even for one day, 550 passes most of the day plugged in battery charging

Avoid this phone like the plague. Microsoft has taken a massive leap backwards from where the Nokia phones where.
My battery won't last through the day anymore (even with zero use and everything turned off). Microsoft won't cover it under warranty because it is 8 days over the 6 month warranty period. And don't expect decent customer service from them either.
Do your self a favour and buy a decent phone...

AnonD-179870, 09 Sep 2016but I'm taking a break from Android and iOS. I want to try something new. :)Lumia 550 is one of the best budget phones out there. Runs good, has all the apps you need and the Edge browser is slightly better than Safari. Screen is hd and does not feel cheap. Go for it!

Good phone although perhaps android maybe more user friendly - but I find I cannot send videos to facebook or messenger - takes about an hour to send one minute so having problems telling Talk Talk this ? - any suggestions ?

thank you for replying, yes indeed the devices are pluged to the power all day, plus the aggressive behaviour as you said. I will try another one elsewhere because i'm interested to buy it. However i liked a lot the screen resolution which hit almost retina display limits, its awsome (condidering the price range), very bright, and very good photos.
