Yes, Microsoft lumia does not required more than 1GB RAM why?
Because, Window store has no much useful apps or good games for the phone.
Still?why the hell can't Microsoft simply manufacture a phone having SD 410 processor with 16 gigs internal and 2 gigs of ram?there is no proper phone in the lumia series.even the ones which are close to perfect are highly overpriced.no sooner they will be forced to shut down their mobile division at this rate.
Mick, 18 Mar 2016That saying that 1 GB of RAM is plenty in Windows phones, turns out it's not true. Microsoft w... moreDafaq dude, are u baked?.. they are not releasing it to 512 MB phones, not to those with 1GB. So that means that 1GB is actually PLENTY for Windows phones because it can run Windows 10 Mobile..
EDIT: seriously, what are u talking about? Lumia 650 has Snapdragon 212, which is quad-core as stated on qualcomm page. Every single proper review will shoe you, that 650 is quicker and has higher score in all benchmarks than Lumia 640. E.g. http://goo.gl/CvG373
That saying that 1 GB of RAM is plenty in Windows phones, turns out it's not true. Microsoft will NOT be releasing Windows 10 Mobile on 512 MB devices, because it's not enough to run the OS let alone any useful apps. Microsoft's claim, not mine.
I could overlook the 1 GB of RAM, but I can't overlook that it is only dual core. Had a browse on specs where it is available, they all claim quad core, this isn't true. I guess saying dual core would be an instant sales loss. The processor is basically a dual core version of the quad core found in the 630 series. What's worse is that it has a lower spec GPU despite having a much higher resolution screen. The mediocre battery is the icing on the cake... that just happens to have gone stale. If they had a decent processor, GPU, and battery for the same price they would have been on a winner. Youn could turn have a next spec up phone with 2 GB of RAM. From memory, the Snapdragon 617 would be a very attractive prospect.
Should you upgrade 4G Ram of Lumia 650, Internal memory 128 G, and Lumia 430 also slow for 1G Ram and Internal Memery should has 32G, 64G, 128G, and battery make up long time more.
Why lack of popular games? Microsoft should introduced the world no.1 combat strategy game CoC, Dominations, Little commander, Plants verses Zombies 2 etc etc.... to Wd platform.
Does this phone supports XENDER app for sharing videos and apps? iam an indian

No phone compares to the quality of microsoft. About 1 GB RAM for windows OS, it serves like a 3GB RAM for Android. And, someone just said you would get a chineese phone with double the specs, half the price, yes you will get one, but the specs would just be numbers compared to microsoft. A chineese phone with 13 MP would hardly stand close to a lumia with 5MP.
Waiting for the launch... ;)
Lumia hardware designed is good, but software, apps and price expectation are not even 50% of users demand.
At this rate of development, Microsoft Wd OS lumia would soon joined the rotten OS like Black Berry, Symbian, Sailfish etc...

I own a Lumia 830 with 1GB of RAM and a 2200mAh battery and the battery life has been great. It gets me through at least 1.5 days of my usage. My Moto G 2014 from work has similar specs but a slightly smaller battery (2070mAh) and gets me through the entire work day. Usually have about 15% around 10pm (off the charger at 7:30am). To me specs don't matter too much, it's the OS that should be optimized to work with what you use it with. Windows 8.1 has been great for me as well as Android 5.0 on my Xperia C4, Xperia Z3, Moto G 2014. Even my iPhone 5s has been great on the latest iOS. The more higher spec'ed phones usually require more power so the extra RAM and larger battery should be there.
I'm keeping an opened mind on this device until I have a chance to use it. I'm thinking of buying the 550 just to give W10 a try, I've read lots of comments and reviews on how unstably and buggy it was when release with the 950/950XL.
