Today Cricket has finally started selling the Microsoft Lumia 650. This is an affordable smartphone that was announced back in mid-February, which is also when we first found out that it would be heading to AT&T's prepaid brand.
Then last month the release date was unveiled by the carrier as being May 6. And here we are. You can now jump over to Cricket's website and purchase the Lumia 650 for $129.99. This being a prepaid brand, that obviously means you don't need to sign a long-term contract when buying the phone.
The Microsoft Lumia 650 comes with a 5-inch 720p OLED touchscreen, an 8 MP main camera with a LED flash, a 5 MP selfie snapper, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 212 at the helm (which has a 1.3 GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU), 1GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, and a 2,000 mAh battery. It runs Windows 10 Mobile.
Because the phone division is manned by incompetent people. Better close it.
Specs don't mean much to me. There's only a few companies I trust to build my phone. Xiaomi isn't one. Nokia is. Even if Xiaomi was one, they don't have a presence in the US. I don't even know if the redmi supports all US LTE bands.
