I'm a very happy owner of the fantastic 940
before that I had a 550 which was the first Lumia I brought
most of my friends were saying no don't get a windows phone get a Samsung or IPhone admit I was in 2 minds.......now I can honestly say the 940 is the best phone ive ever had
and yes I have had both Samsung and Iphones in the past you could offer me a new model of Samsung etc but would never give up my 940...I am saving up for the 950!
ShafiqJetha, 30 Sep 2015It'll come with a Micro SD card slot for cards up to 2TB (Terabytes).200GB not 2000

So you suggest to people to buy a small screen easy to scratch metal crapp over an 950? You have no freaqin ideea what you're talking about boy. Is like sugesting to people to buy an Trabant instead of and Audi quatro for god sake. So many sheeps is already annyoing.

Now, this clowns come back to praise the build quality of their samsung. So much hipocrysy is hard, very hard to digest. Go home man!

Anonymous, 28 Mar 2016the batman phone!microsoft windows OS is no.1 in the world.( in the phone and desktop).
The sad and candid truth, however, is that many developers have found developing for Windows problematic. Some who invested in Microsoft's mobile efforts years ago have found the trek toward a unified platform jarring and inconsistent
I love lumia since nokia's day. so far i used lumia 720 with no problem almost 1 year and then sold it and upgraded to lumia 1520 which is very great phablet almost 2 years and sold it again.and bought a new one with lumia 640 xl with no problem at all and upgraded to windows 10 which is i like the new transformation of the windows interface..windows phone are more friendly user rather than any OS..simple and elegant..
[deleted post]Too ignorance,
WD 10 update would effect only 50.4% of the latest LUMIA with above 1GB RAM and minimum 8GB free user memory.

By the way I'm an android user, I had nexus 5 & recently I have switched to Windows Phone & I must say, it has almost everything that you need for day to day purpose. No bullsh*t!!
Hey guys, I am a relatively new Lumia 950 user. I upgraded my Lumia 925 to Windows 10 preview and that was really horrible - all apps were really laggy, but my Lumia 925 died shortly afterwards as I tried to change battery so I was really worried about getting 950, especially considering that S6 is the same price range. Anyway, long story short, decided to get the 950 simply because all of my data would sync from old phone and because I really like the Mozo covers for this phone.
So far all my concerns have disappeared and I really enjoy this phone. First day battery lasted barely a day, because it was downloading my backup with all settings and applications and update throughout the night. After that - perfect, with medium use, I only charge it in the morning while I am in shower as it charged about 50% in 30 minutes with the new 3C charger.
So it runs smooth, screen is bigger and looks better than 925, charges faster, battery lasts longer and camera + tri color flash is an improvement. And now it makes small movies when taking pictures like IPhone 6. Another good thing about the camera is location of the lense - it's in the middle where you don't put fingers, so that's good.
All in all seems like a solid device and only thing I stopped using is the iris scanner. It works well if you sit at a desk, but when you are walking etc it's just not so easily usable.
A couple more things they have lost in W10m - tapping anywhere on screen to take a picture and double tap to wake up phone. Two major steps back imo.
Also I still haven't changed back cover to Mozo - stock one does look a bit simple, but feels good apart from the fact that edges seem a little sharp to the touch.
The final verdict - there are still things they need to work on, just like for the past 6 or so years, but overall device feels solid and runs well.
