AnonD-254911, 12 Sep 2015How does gsmarena know that the screen is AMOLED? It isn't mentioned in any rumors!Lumia 925 has it, Lumia 930 has it as well so no brainer they will stick with amoled once again. Its better they do.
Windows phone still have a ling way to go in order to match up ios and android.... WP ui is certainly slicker as compared to other os today, but lack of applications and also, the quality of those applications compared to that of ios and Android is very poor. Microsoft will have to pull their socks this time around and should first focus improving their app store with ios quality apps and also look for more user friendly ui such as android. Best of luck Microsoft with windows 10.. It's world war 3 for you...

Seems like a very good phone. And it's reliable, because it's made by Microsoft (in Nokia factories).
940, 27 Aug 2015Any Idea about price and release date?release date is october 5
this specification for windphone is very good.i like it.
but you think how much it cost?
Actually they are listen to us and that what they doing with windows 10 thats from software. but what regarding hardwear they have a lot of models they can not includes all in one. it will be like 1020 camera phone 925/Icon unique design & 525 best budget phone .
that is my opinion
AnonD-411767, 11 Aug 2015shouldnt it be the Lumia 950 and 950 XL ?No. A few morons on the internet said that they were going to be the 950, and everybody went along. It is still going to be the 940.
Ok, I might sound like an idiot but I think there is no need for a QHD resolution screen. QHD demands a lot of power and drains battery very fast. In fact, a full HD screen might be a better option here considering the battery capacity of the phone. I'd also prefer a card slot although 32GB internal sounds quite roomy.
I still and always believe that MS can do it. If they did it on PC They can do it also on phones especially now that they have an official smartphone/hardware division so with the launching of the windows 10. Also with the earlier windows version, they had prepared enough on rather basic yet advanced features for modern smartphone that we can say on par with the competition, the likes of WordFlow-which is a built in, not an app needs to be downloaded, and Cortana-that we all know is the most advanced digital voice assistant in the market today. Add up to that, they have an undeniably good design team, built quality, material quality, consistent OTA software update(which is not available on the two leading platform) and their efforts to make quality home brewed applications (though might be lacking for some)-but also a way how serious Microsoft is into phone business.
If the leaks is true then both 940 and 940xl comes with micro sd slot that can hold 128gb of memory, and type-c port is 2x the speed of 3.0, so its not considered as usb 2.0. if im not mistaken the actual version is usb 3.1. Aside from that, the software leaks tells us that the camera of this phone can record a 120fps at 720p. also include the iris scanner and continuum.
Well, all of this is speculations only, all we can do is to wait for the actual phone.
Make it waterproof, dust proof, aluminum body, sd card, 60fps, smaller, thinner, more camera facility, better notification then android, better windows 10 OS enough ram(don't need more for nothing),little less price for a new comeback, a great app store, battery more than 4000.. trust me others have a lot to say. Windows could've topped if they were to listen to us.(not me but other users) :)
