Anonymous, 03 Apr 2016Pay the troll no mind Scott. Not sure about the camera unfortunately but I can say that if you... moreI got one more doubt regarding this phone, I heard that the build quality of this phone ain't that good as old Lumias and the back cover is kinda creaky, is it true?
I have a question Microsoft phones have the same durability like Nokia ones, Because I have Nokia Lumia 1020 and I'm thinking to upgrade...please respond :) Thank You!
I don't care who said what and what are said, but i do not like any android phone even if i get one for free. Since i start using phones with Windows 8.1 or 10. It make the communication and other things like taking photos much more comfortable. If you only are looking for a phone go and buy something cheap, but if you need computing, phone and much more go for the Windows phones. Anyone can say bad things about any product to impress others.Thumbs up for the new 950 and 950 xl.
Pay the troll no mind Scott. Not sure about the camera unfortunately but I can say that if you like the camera of the 930, the 950xl is up your street. The HP phone does look great spec wise, you can check that out on this site......tho some of the specs appear incorrect.
For example, we know the snapdragon 810 uses cat6 for its downloading, so why does the 820 have cat3? Hope someone would clarify the specs later but it's a free country......make sure you see your options for yourself first. Best way to judge
(1)Is it available from any local store other an Microsoft Store? I can't find it in ATT store.
(2) Are all the 950 XL sold in the market today Unlocked ?
(3) Is 32GB storage the only version available?
I am a Lumia 1520 user and I wanna go for an upgrade, however I'm confused about whether to go for this phone or wait some more time for HP Elite X3. I like the specs of HP Elite X3 after all it's powered by Snapdragon 820, has 4GB ram and it gonna sport high quality Bang and Olufsen audio system besides specs the most important thing is that it feels similar to my Lumia 1520 in terms of size, however I ain't sure about its camera and other specs. I would like some suggestions from y'all.
Battery life is good. I will get you through the entire day with casual use (phone calls, web browsing and music). Heavy use will drain of course........with serious gaming you would need to charge it at least twice. As for heating issue.........only gets warm when in heavy use and it doesn't get overly hot that you can't touch or hold it. It cools down rapidly enough. For example, getting it warm enough that when you move it from a surface the surface feels warm.....would take about two hours worth of serious gaming on it. But then within 1 - 3 minutes its cool to the touch.
It does get a little warm when in a call after about 30 minutes. Casual use won't affect heating at all. Using WhatsApp now and then, a call here and there, it won't be overbearing. As I mentioned, cools down fast.
AnonD-447117, 29 Mar 2016Moto X Force vs Lumia 950 Xl...I am getting a chance to swap my Moto with 950xl...any idea guys?I have 950 XL and s6 active and Droid Turbo and BB passport..... Each are unique phones.... 950 XL has the best OS and most potential... Go for it!!
For users of this phone, you should be sitting here - version: 1511, os build: 10.0.10586.164.
Only one issue I have come across on this build and its whatsapp giving a little trouble resuming after being suspended for about an hour. But once you close it completely and reopen it, it works fine. No freezing or crashing found otherwise.
For something considered unstable and unreliable I would think there would be alot more problems. Give credit where credit is due. For a company trying to add a solid third option to the phone race, yes MS is struggling, but that's only because ppl fear what they don't understand.
Its honestly more reliable and secure than android and updates don't behave anything like IOS.
Well, I see ppl posting utter nonsense here about Windows 10 being a "heavy" os and unstable and unreliable. Really!??! Are you sure you ARE using Windows 10? I have my Lumia 950XL since January and I has frozen twice.....compared to android which freezes at least 5 times a day. As for being a "heavy" os.......i have the tech preview on my lumia 920 and it runs fine. It does get warm when charging but it did that in general. Video playback is better than on 8.1 and battery life is even longer.
Everyone is critical and just want to put down MS and the Windows platform. I mean......has anyone seen the recent problem in IOS which has disabled links in the phone? Apple has yet to even respond to their customers.
Anyway, this is for ppl who actually use Windows 10 on a 950xl. If you have problems, post here. I will do my best to assist with problems. Don't be scared or discouraged by the trolls. Build conference is coming and the Redstone update promises to blow the mind.
Anonymous, 22 Mar 2016don"t hurry. Take a working trial for atleast 12hrs. Windows Mobiles are very reliable. and doesn't mess up with creepy applications. Also the Windows 10 Mobile is too great in Build and features,.
Moto X Force vs Lumia 950 Xl...I am getting a chance to swap my Moto with 950xl...any idea guys?
My Lumias [920, 1320, 640xL] are running windows 10 - insider versions....it is unstable like crazy.....video play-back flickers like mickey mouse, hanging like a pregnant bat and overheating...
windows 8.1 update 2 was so stable and smooth////.....why do you struggle to fit a heavy OS in a phone when we need something light, fast, interactive, soft on battery and ...really?
I have been a fan for a long time, my loyalty is being tossed about.
Kindly make your phones easier to manage.....or say somethin....I am giving up on you
kanuto, 19 Mar 2016windows phone are good, but its always too priceyYes, i agree. And at that cost, this 950XL should come with upto 128GB internal memory. What a crazy 32GB?
Clarifications, 21 Mar 2016The 950XL performs much better than the note 5, and is a lot more reliable.Windows 10 Mobile is definetly not "reliable", it is the most unstable OS ever!
Great device.. Loving windows 10.. Great work MS.. Its a phone with good camera, display, performance and decent battery backup.. Its a great value of money..
AnonD-447117, 16 Mar 2016Hey John, where can i find this comparison?Omg noob, more megapixels doesn't mean better camera!
