Bro, I am a Sony Lover like xperia, Vio, Cybershot etc. I recently purchased Microsoft 640XL & experienced positive. Why People blame Microsoft Lumia Mobile without understanding. Its a Very Nice mobile. Camera is Damn Good, Battery Awesome, screen & Touch very fine & The best thing is After 2Hrs of Online calling(Whatsapp & Viber) even there is No Heating Problem at all. Its performance is unique, Unlike the Android devices this has smooth & faster OS, Very light & No Heat or Hang problem.
Thank you Microsoft & we Expect more improvement in next upgradaton.

As a user of Windows Phone from 2012 the analysis/review as below..
First OS is consuming very limited resource and most of the operations are very smooth..
UI stand away (tile interface) which is unique and over the period it improved and improving in all aspects
Many settings including storage management, accounts (people hub), backup, data management, emails, calendar (sync with other calendar services)...call history...text .... and many more too good in comparison with other OSs
Hardware quality is good and reliable in performance..
950/950 XL are made with premium features and comparatively economical in comparison with any other models.. Also it come up with phone as PC and better user experience including liquid cooling... dual antenna etc.... with IRIS scanner for Windows Hello... all the way this must be impact full phone...
By launching universal OS environment (Windows 10) most of the app developers must turn to windows (including google) because they may not ready to loose millions of PC users to get add revenues all the way its positive organisation's business trick which should succeed.
As the market share for the OS is small hence MS has huge scope for improving as the quality of hardware and user input for software is much high...
As a consumer/User these are worth for money in all the way!!

No camera improvement? - Triple LED flash with 5th gen OIS (way better than 930)
Specs almost the same? - 3Gbs of Ram with a freakin Octa core Snapdragon 810
Design downgraded? - 5.7 inches screen and removable battery with SD card support.. what more do you want?

Metal frame and capactive navigation buttons are missing , on screen buttons are not impresive as capactive buttons.

What is a little odd about the XL and the non XL is that the screen sizing is so close and the physical body outline size is so close is that their really is no point in having two models with the same model number. This thought and the confusion of 940 950 naming leads me to believe that these were 2 different model numbers and product developments now renamed as one model.
Initially I had wanted to buy the non XL model but comparing screen to body size of both models it becomes clear that the XL version is only a small amount larger in body outline proportionate to screen size making the XL the more obvious choice for medium sized hands. YMMV
