Why is the screen to body ratio wrong?

People keep bashing the Snapdragon 855 and 6 GB of RAM. Use a phone with an 855 then use a phone with an 865. See if you can tell the difference. People act like the 855 is garbage after one year when it is still a killer chip. 6 GB of RAM is more than enough. These aren't PC's, if you somehow managed to use all the RAM, your apps would just refresh while they were in the background. This phone was unveiled over a year ago, they can't switcharoo the internals all of a sudden. Considering the Surface name and price of other foldables in this market, I would say it is priced fairly. Those who say it's overpriced do not see the value of dual monitors and the fact that it is a revolutionary form factor.

Nice product but just a waste of money for a quick pose while you look for a new phone after you brought the Duo.
I bet they will not support the software in 2 years time and you then have a brick for $1000 !

I can only see this going the same way other windows phones.
It is just a tablet with a sim and a gimmick.
A phone should be a phone and not a tablet.
Even though the Z fold thing will win the sales battle folding phones are still a joke.
Just more electronic waste in 3 years time.

I hope their next phone will be snapdragon+Windows 10x arm based. Or, intel Lakefield + full Window 10x. If they put windows on this phone, Lumia users will make no hesitation to buy it(users that they used to use lumia+ users that they're using Lumia right now)

Microsoft fan, 28 Aug 2020This is unbelieveable. I can't believe it. Android OS in microsoft devises. This is wrong idea.Not wrong idea I say. Microsoft just make use Android since it is widely used on mobile. Remember Microsoft failed with their windows mobile. But I believe Microsoft will make comeback with their new windows mobile in future.

Anonymous, 19 Aug 2020Surface with Android, why? Just why?Bcoz Android is currently the most used mobile os in the world. So it more easier to utilize the current os in the market. Last time Microsoft failed with their windows mobile so they will not repeat the same mistake again. I understand that Microsoft is working on new windows. Hope we can see new windows mobile on future surface duo soon.

I believe Microsoft wanted to create a small surface tablet... moreI would agree, this form factor has never been seen before, and that's what gives it value. Things like wireless charging and all those other quirks that are missing from the Duo do not really matter that much, especially when I just want to use my phone for productivity and as a communication device.
