Oppo Android

A couple of weeks ago, we brought you exclusive details on Oppo Mirror 5, and just last week, there were rumours that the device might actually be called as the Mirror 5s. Turns out the rumours were correct, as the Mirror 5s has been officially confirmed by the company.

The device's existence was confirmed by Oppo's Taiwanese arm, which posted a teaser of the handset (see image above) on its official Facebook page.

Oppo is yet to officially reveal the full details of the smartphone, but from what we know so far: the handset will be powered by a Snapdragon SoC with 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, and sport a 5 inch display with 1280×720 pixels resolution. It will come with 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, and pack in a 2,420mAh battery.

In terms of camera, the Mirror 5s will feature an 8MP rear unit and a 5MP selfie snapper. The device will offer dual-SIM support and come with Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. While Oppo Taiwan said that the handset is coming soon, previous rumours had suggested that it will be unveiled sometime in the second week of July.
